Lucan in the first inning came up with a pair of runs to take a 2-1 lead; however, it was short-lived as Zurich rallied for a two -run in the second inning. The big blow was a two -run single by Cliff Gingerich.. Ken Clarke and Isidore Laporte, who had singled in the inning, scored the two runs.
