The Gorrie Women's Institute
were hosts for the May birthday
party at Huronview.
The afternoon program includ-
ed a "Fashion Show" with
fashions from 1880 to 1977. Mrs.
Bob Strong was Commentator
for the show and Mrs. Wilbur
Hogg played music selections
related to each of the years.
The show brought back many
fond memories to the residents,.
and was enjoyed by everyone.
Mrs. J. Ferguson and Mrs. B.
Strong sang a duet number and
led sing -a -long of old songs.
Following the program the
celebrants each received a gift
and lunch was served by the
ladies, Mrs. Ritchie expressed
the appreciation of the residents
to the Institute for the party.
Ed. Stiles entertained for the
Thursday afternoon with an hour
of favourite organ music.
Eber Lewis was welcomed to
Huronview at . Monday after-
noon's old tyme music and dan-
cing program. Mrs. Driver, Mol-
ly Cox, Norman Speir and Cecil

tivities.
Elmer Farrish, Gorrie and
Albert Craig, Bayfield shared
the Family Night program.
Tuesday evening Mr. Farrish
showed coloured slides taken
while on trips to Africa, Norway
and Iceland, and gave a very in-
teresting commentary. Albert
Craig sang several favourite
numbers and led in sing -a -long,

Miss Caroline Palmer formerly
from Gorrie thanked those
responsible for the entertain-
ment on behalf of the residents.
Forty Grade seven students of
the' East Wawanosh Public
School visited the Home on
Thursday afternoon and
presented a program in the
auditorium, directed by Mr.
Dave Medd. The students sang
several familiar songs and
provided their own guitar ac-
companiment.
Twelve students presented a
skit, "Pollution on Parade",
Following the program the
residents were each given a love-
ly apple. The money for apples
and expenses of the trip had been
raised by the students.
Mrs. Wheeler expressed the
appreciation of the residents for
the program and lovely treat.
