COMBINED EFFORT — The Zurich public school's performance of "Oliver" was a success largely due to the
combined hard work of teachers and students. Above, everyone in the cast joins in for the grand
finale.

Turnberry Township has
received the backing of Huron
County Council in its bid to have
the B Line declared a develop-
ment road.
County council agreed April 29
in Goderich to support Turn -
berry's petition for funds from
the Ministry of Transportation
and Communications. The money
would be used to repair the road
and replace a one -lane bridge.
Turnberry council passed a
resolution earlier in April
pointing out the B Line's potential
as a bypass for the town of
Wingham during the 1978
Plowing Match.
It is expected the match will
HURON -RIDGE ACRES
create massive traffic problems
in the area• of Highway 4 north
and Highways 86 and 87 east of
Wingham, the council said, and
the B Line is "a natural alternate
route for much of this traffic".
However the road is in a very
poor state of repair and needs
rebuilding before it can be used
by other than local traffic.
County council also heard a
service road and temporary
bridge to the plowing match site
will cost about $50,000. Various
means of financing the project
will be discussed with match
organizers, council's develop-
ment committee reported.
