The November meeting of
the St. Boniface C.W.L. was
held in the school gym with
52 members present. The
meeting opened with prayer.
Treasurer Martha
Ducharme gave her report
on donations given for bingo
prizes. Elaine Beachamp,
Church -Life convener read a
prayer for seminarians. St.
Boniface parish has a young
man who has entered the
priesthood..
Helen Ducharme reported
that eleven ladies attended
the Deanery meeting held in
Stratford. A report was
given that everything is
ready and all help had been
asked for our fall bingo held
on Saturday.
The ladies were informed
that the December 12
meeting will be in the form of
a pot -luck mother and
daughter night. Ladies are
asked to bring a small gift
for the Children Aid Society.
The meeting was then
opened to our guests. There
were 150 ladies who attended
in a spiritual hour of hymn
singing and prayer. The
guests were from the Dash-

pregnancy.•
Mrs. Giesen told the ladies

of birth control. A clinic in
this area is being discussed
to make information more
readily. Lunch was served
by Group 5 and 7.
The different church
leaders thanked the St.
Boniface ladies for a very
interesting evening • and
lovely lunch. Door prize was
won by Martha Ducharme.

:y In conversation with Mrs. Minnie Noakes follow-
ing last Monday's election, Mrs. Noakes made men-
tion that she would like to see better coverage of the
county board of education meetings in the local press.
While this writer can well appreciate the feelings
of Mrs. Noakes, the simple facts of the matter are
that this county's board of education is very well
covered,., compared to other boards in , surrounding
jurisdictions.
In Huron County, there exists an organization
known as the Bluewater Newspaper network. All
papers in Huron are .members of the organization and
have particular areas or "beats" which they cover for
the network.
For example, the Goderich Signal -Star covers
county council and county board *of education while
the Huron Expositor covers agricultural events in the
county.
In essence, the network is a co-operative that,
provides balanced, county -wide coverage of major
events.
All public board of education meetings are
covered and excellent coverage was provided on such
issues as strikes and the book banning controversy.
Education in this county has been given excellent
coverage and this excellency will continue.
