Lutheran Church ladies have new guild
The November meeting of
Zion Lutheran Church
Ladies' Aid was held Wed-
nesday with group one and
Mrs. Ernest Koehler, con-
vener, in charge of devotions
and lunch. In the absence of
the pastor, Mrs. Mellecke
had the topic, "Handling

worry, fear and anxiety".
This was a tape by H. Nor-
man Wright. He asked three
questions, "What did you
worry about this past
week?" How much time do
you think you spent in
worry?" and "What were the
consequences?" He also
discussed phobia — an in-
tense irrational fear. He also
dealt with the first time the
word imagination was used
in the Bible -Genesis 6 verse
5; chapter 8 verse 21.
Mrs. Lorne Genttner,
president, presided for the
business. There were 26
members answered the roll
call and 2 visitors. The altar
Guild reported 15 visits and
the new Guild is Mrs.
Howard Datars and Mrs.
Harvey Beierling. Donations
were made to the Family
Service, the church mission
fund, Lutherwood, and St.
Catharines Seminary. Mrs.
Albert Miller, who is moving
to Kitchener, was presented
with a gift. Mrs. Esther
Salmon, who is making new
stoles for the minister, was
given a donation,
Group Two is in charge of
the December meeting. Mrs.
fp
Freida Hayter had closing
devotions.

ing to the region."
The Playhouse reports a
break-even budget for the
current year, boasting an
80% attendance for the
season. With operations now
in the black, the Playhouse
wants to raise an additional
$10,000 of "financing" funds.
The Playhouse Board of
Trustees is seeking out one
hundred people to give $100
each. The "100 Club" would
be special friends of the
Playhouse contributing to a
"one time only" financing
drive.
The special drive will be
headed up by Dave Shep-
pard, a member of the
Playhouse Board of
Trustees.
On the capital side of
things, the Playhouse, which
financed its development
through a seven year bank
loan, looks forward to a
retired mortgage in the near
future.

LOOKS GOOD — This pass from Gerald Weido to Pat Bedard looks like it could have
resulted in a goal but the puck skittered past Bedard. The Buckeyes were defeated by the
