Staff photo Local couple return from rock hunting trip to west Ken and Dorothy Breakey have recently returned from a three month tour of Western Canada. Their trip took them to Dawson City in the Yukon. Fairbanks, Mt: Zurich Carmel Sweeney McKinley, Anchorage Alaska, Central and British Columbia. In the Alberta Bad lands they hunted dinosaur bones and pursued their hobby of rock collecting.- They spent some time with their son, Richard and his wife in Edmonton, returning by way of Winnipeg and Brandon where they visited Ken's boyhood friends and relatives Newly weds Congratulations to; Mr. & Mrs. John McAuley nee (Bernadette Ducharme) who were married at St. Boniface Church. Personals Miss Vicki Bowman has returned to her home in Ingersoll after spending the past two weeks with her aunt - Ethel Meyers at Blake. Mr. & Mrs. Ernie Nicholas of Flint Michigan were week end guests with Mrs. Pask. Mr. & Mrs. Michael Hartman and family of Quebec spent the week end with the latters mother Mrs. Juliette Denomme and at- tended the Debus-Rau wedding. Mr. & Mrs. John Lee of Waterloo visited a few days with Mr. & Mrs. Carl Oesch. Mr. & Mrs. George Harvey and son John of Detroit spent last week end at their summer home north of St. Joseph. Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Worsen of Coquitlam B.C. are visiting the formers aunt Mrs. Dorothy Koehler. Mrs. Beatrice Rader visited a few days with her brother Alvin Gascho and his family of Petersburg and also with her daughter and family, Mr. & Mrs. Clair Zurbrigg, Kitchener. Stephen Stark of St. Thomas visited the previous week end with his mother, Mrs. Therese Stark. He also took part in the ball tour- nament on the London Caps team. Mr. & Mrs. Allan Bren- neman of Waterloo and Mr. & Mrs. Roy Poole of Poole Ontario recently called on Mrs. Pat Oesch and other relatives in the area. Mrs. Cecila Farwell, president of the ladies auxiliary to the Blue Water Rest Home is attending as a delegate a three day con- vention at the Holiday Inn in London. Mrs. Ida Jantzi of Baden has spent the past month with her daughter and son- in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Erb. Mrs. Eileen Consitt has completed her yearly job of taking the municipal enumeration in the village. Mr. & Mrs. John Denomme R.R. 2 Zurich held a family gathering last week end, those attending were from Montreal, Windsor and Zurich area. They were treated to barbecued roast suckling. Maura, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Allan Gascho has returned to school at York University in Toronto, She spent the summer with her parents. Also visiting the Gascho's for a week were Captain Brian and Carol Belchamber and son Eric of Ottawa. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Dietrich and daughters recently motored to Toronto. Recent visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Beatrice Rader were, Mr. & Mrs. Chris Herlufson of Goderich and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Payne London. Mr. & Mrs. Earl Flaxbard attended the wedding of their niece, Brenda (Flaxbard) and Richard MacFarlene at Centennial United Church, in Stratford last Saturday. Relatives from the Zurich area who attended the Baechler reunion at Tavistock on Sunday were, Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Erb, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Gascho and. daughter Eunice. Mrs. Beatrice Rader and Miss Laura Gascho of the Senior Apts. Lennis and Marlene Bedard and family of Goderich spent the week end with the latters parents Mr, & Mrs. Clare Masse. Mr. & Mrs. Nap Corriveau held a family dinner last Sunday in honour of Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Primrose of Millbrade California .who SHOP AT HOME were visiting with them. Guests for the week end with Mr. & 1VIrs. Garfield Denomme were Mr. & Mrs. Leo Debus and family of Stratford and Mr. & Mrs. Gregory Denomme of Kit- chener. Mrs. Victor Deichert is a patient in University Hospital, London. Mrs. Louise Denomme and Madlene Rau of the Senior Apts. are in South Huron Hospital Exeter.
