Mrs. Glenn Bell, Mr. & Hensall Hilda Payne /Bertha McGregor Mrs. Robert Bell were guests at the McNaughton -Boyce wedding in Stratford on Saturday. Mrs. Don MacLaren, Jodi and Brooke of Oakville visited last week with Mrs. Bertha MacGregor. Mr. & Mrs. Tim Sherritt of Fort Lauderdale, Florida visited last week with Mrs. T. Sherritt. Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Holland, MacLaren, Jodi and Brooke Andrew Mason, London, Gwen and Michael of Clinton of Oakville and her son and spent the week end with his visited recently with Mr. & daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Mrs. James Sangster and Craig Chapman and John Skea. Brad. Michelle of Forest. Mrs, Harold. Parker and Mrs. Carl Payne spent four days at Alma School for Women, sponsored by the London Conference of the United Church of Canada, at Alma College, St. Thomas. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Shaddick and family of Kitchener visited this week with the former's mother Mrs. Pearl Shaddick and with Mr. & Mrs. George Parker and boys Mr. Walter Spencer returned home from a pleasant holiday with his son and daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Gregg Spencer and family at Bancroft. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Munn were week -end visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Gerrard in Ottawa. Holiday visitors this week with Mrs. Lorne Chapman were her daughter Mrs. Don Queensway Visitors with Vera Lam- mie were Ilia Dunn and Iva Ridley. Hazel Snell visited Louise Mitchell. Mr. & Mrs. Ted Pooley and Ethel Cush- man of Exeter visited Lynn Latimer and other friends. Mrs. Dave Bishop. Stratford visited her sister Mrs. Irene Kalbfleisch. Golden -Glimpses One more week of the vacation time gone and next Saturday, August 26th being the Zurich Bean Festival is a sure sign that autumn is just around the corner. The Blue Water Rest Home Auxiliary will be manning a booth in the usual location serving refreshments and also sell- ing tickets on the quilt which has been on display at the home and which will_be drawn for that day. Your patronage will be very much appreciated since the proceeds goes towards resi- dent -comforts. Mr. Fred Gibson is a patient in South Huron Hospital and Mr. Roy MacDonald is in University Hospital, London. We are pleased Mrs. Jessie O'Brien has been able to return from hospital. The sympathy of residents and staff is extended to the family of the late Mrs. Ethel Appleton. On Tuesday evening, the ladies of Thames Road United Church sponsored the monthly birthday party. Service in St. Paul's The service of "Morning Prayer" was observed in St. Paul's Anglican Church on Sunday when Rev. G. A. Anderson spoke on "The gift of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit" as the theme of his message. The flowers on the altar were placed in loving memory of the late Mr, & Mrs. R. H.
