IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE SCHOOL — The grade seven class at Zurich Public school spent three days recently at Camp Sylvan,
an outdoor education facility located south of Parkhill. In addition to the students, instructors Lucy Van Esbroeck, Dan Ken-
na ley (front left) and teachers Larry Weido and Margaret Weido (middle row) are pictured. Staff photo

Will have
evening racing
Twilight racing returns to
Ontario again this summer
at the Clinton Kinsmen
Raceway on an experimen-
tal basis.
The racetrack, run by the
local Kinsmen club, will
stage a three-day racing
meeting on Thursday
evenings in July, to compli-
ment their 15 -day Sunday
meet, now in its eighth
season.
As well as racing each
Sunday at the full sanctioned
track from June 25 to Oc-
tober 1, the track will stage
cards on July 13, 20 and 27
with post time 5:15 p.m.
Raceway chairman Paul
Kerrigan said the three
Thursdays evening were just
on an experimental basis,
"to see how they go over".
"We felt with the
Goderich track closed down,
we could use our facilities
more fully," Kerrigan said.
Last year the Kinsmen
built a new $250,000 modern
grandstand and betting
area, and now boosts of one
of the finest facilities on the
"B" circuit.
Most harness racing in the
province is conducted under
lights at night, but Clinton
doesn't have them because
traditional meet has been on
Sunday afternoon.
