FINISH SECOND — A team with a name like the Pin Poppers is likely to do well in a bowling league and such was the case in
the Zurich ladies' bowling league this year. In the back row (left -right) are Elaine Beauchamp, Carmel Sweeney, Rose Regier
and Jeanie Hay. The front row consists of Henricka Masse, Lucille Masse, Marie Gelinas and Mary Anger. Staff photo

trail. The Yamaha DT175 combines motorcross sus-
pension with fine street machine performance. The
De Carbon Monocross Suspension system gives you
more control over rough terrain. The DT175 has a
lighter, stronger engine. And a comfortable seat and

Plan hike
Bayfield Brownies are
planning a hike for Saturday,
and are to meet at the Parish
Hall at 11 a.m. and will
return there at 1:30 p.m.
They will not need to wear
their uniforms but are asked
to dress warmly for the hike
along the lake. In case of
rain the hike will be post-
poned until the following
Saturday and a regular
meeting at 10 a.m. will be
held in its place.
May Start Company
Brownie leader, Mrs.
Eleanor Ritchie has offered
to start a Guide Company in
the fall and assistants are
badly needed for Brownies
and Guides. If you are in-
terested in helping with
either group, please contact
Mrs. Charlene Porter at 565-
5244 or Mrs. Jean Dunn at
565-5316.
Meeting Changed
Mothers of Brownies, Cubs,
and Scouts are informed that
there will not be a ladies
auxiliary meeting Saturday
morning, as planned, instead
it will be held on Saturday
morning, May 13 at 10 a.m.
The women are reminded to
bring along plant slips for
the exchange. Also someone
is still needed as convener
for the lunch committee.
Few trout
Although rainbow fishing
season opened this past
weekend and anglers were
standing shoulder to
shoulder along the Bayfield
River there were no reports
of any fantastic catches.
An extended borrowing
Recently a woman walked
into an OPP office and
handed a life preserver to
one of the officers in charge.
Upon asking her if she had
found it she replied "No --she
had "borrowed" it ten years
ago and her conscience had
been bothering her."
The life preserver is now
back at the Bayfield River
where it rightfully belonged.
