MR. AND MRS. RON McDONALD
St. Peters Church, St. Joseph, was the scene of a lovely wed-
ding April 15, when Brenda Marie daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Anthony Rau of RR 2, Zurich and Ron Henry McDonald, Lon-
don, son of Mrs. Rose McDonald, London, were married by
Father Bensette. The couple will reside in Kitchener, On-

Knights of CoIu mi
distribute buttons
By RENE BROCHU
The second phase of the
Unity Campaign sponsored,
by the Seaforth Knights of
Columbus continues with the
distribution of Unity Buttons
to the public school children
of our Council area. Thanks
to the generosity of our
Grand Knight Phillip
Durand, our Council Ac-
tivities Director Jim
Lebeau, and our Program
Chairman Rene Brochu,
who together joined forces
and purchased another 2500
Unity Buttons.
Our first phase of the Uni-
ty Program consisted of the
distribution of Unity Buttons
to the children in eight
separate schools in our
Council area. The program
now continues with the
children of the public
schools as last Wednesday
the Grand Knight Phillip
Durand and Program Chair-
man Rene Brochu dis-
tributed Unity Buttons to the
Clinton Public School
children, and on Thursday
morning to the children of
the Seaforth Public School.
On Monday of this week, the
same K of C representatives
visited the Hensall Public
School and Wednesday the
Zurich Public Stool. The
response from the children
and teaching staff was in-
deed favorable and we only
hope and pray that the Unity
Buttons will serve their in-
tended purpose in en-
couraging Canadians to
think and talk Canadian Uni-
ty and discover ways and
means of enhancing a
togetherness of all peoples
of Canada.
Our third phase has
already commenced as we
are now attempting to
arrange for Inter -Council
visits between the Seaforth
Council and Councils in the
province of Quebec. This
phase, we hope and pray,
will be a continuing
relationship between our
peoples and perhaps even
develop a lasting friendship
and orderly beneficial dis-
cussions on the Unity of
Canada problem.
