Nursery visits farm
The Sunshine Kids Nur-
sery of Exeter enjoyed a
visit to the farm last Wed-
nesday and Thursday
morning. John McAllister
and his wife Evelyn threw
their farm on R.R. 1 Hensall
open to escorted tours for the
children of the cattle barn
and chicken house. The kids
were accompanied by their
teachers, Mrs. Phyllis
Johnston and Mrs. Ruth
Mercer and several mothers,
and after inspecting the
barns they took a walk along
beside Black Creek and
viewed the water going over
the old wooden dam. To
complete the outing, the
children gathered on the
lawn for a lunch of raisins,
cookies and apple juice
before returning home.
Should be ready
"Our Calling" was the
subject of Reverend Don
Beck's sermon on Sunday,
April 30, at the Hensall
United Church. In the early
church, all were workers
spreading the "word". We
should still be ready and
prepared to be used, sup-
ported by worshipping,
praying, learning, serving
and witnessing together.
Never neglect spiritual gifts -
we are God's "Chosen
People."
The choir, led by Mrs.
Marianne McCaffrey and
'with Mrs. Mary Moffat at the
organ sang the anthem,
"Jubilate" with the solo
parts taken by Linda Ger-
stenkorn and Laurie Pepper.
Unit four will be meeting
