The Synodical will be held in Leamington April 11 and 12. The members will enter- tain the residents of the Queensway Nursing Home during the month of April. Invitations were received from Seaforth and Kippen Church groups. Mrs. Clarence Volland presided for the Ladies' Aid meeting following when the business was transacted after which arrangements were made for the banquet April 19 in honor of the President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario which the ladies' are catering to. New Residents at Queensway Nursing Home Welcome new residents to Queensway. They are Mrs. Rhoda Frayne, Exeter and Mrs. Levina Heffron, Blyth. The Chiselhurst ladies visited residents and brought treats for the month of March. Annual meeting The Annual meeting of the Hensall Women's Institute will be held in the Legion Hall on Wednesday, April 12 at 8 p.m. when reports for the past year will be given and the new slate of officers installed. New members will be welcome. UNITED CHURCH "Shalom" meaning "Peace with you" was the subject of the sermon at Hensall United Church on Sunday morning, conducted by the Reverend Don Beck. Just as the disciples lived in fear following the Resurrection so we live with many fears today. Shalom means the presense of love and the sharing of love gives strength. Mrs. Marianne McCaffrey led the twelve voice choir in an unaccompanied anthem, "My shepherd will supply my need" with Dr. Ralph Topp at the organ. Unit four will meet on Thursday, April 6 at 2.30 p.m. for their Thank -offering meeting. Figure skating club Miss Pauline Bell, Hensall is instructor of the Zurich Grand Bend Figure Skating Club which held C.F.S.A. test day Tuesday, March 28. Sim Roobal has returned home after undergoing surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital, London.
