Zurich, Ont.
Nov. 1, 1974.
Dear Sir:
As I sit here this morning I
am still very upset at what
happened on Hallowe'en night.
On checking my daughter's
candy, we found a needle in
her apple. I was horrified to
think someone in our town of
Zurich was so mean as to do
this.
I gave over 130 treats out on
Hallowe'en night and would
have given more out if needed,
If people do not want to treat,
all they have to do is lock
their door and go to bed.
I only hope no other child-
ren in Zurich had this misfort-
une. As our daughter only got
three apples we are pretty sure
where they came from. We do
not intend to charge anyone
with this, but I do hope who
ever did this will stop and
think of the damage they could
have done.
Yours truly
"Concerned
Parent"

There is something that is much
more scarce, something finer by
far, than ability. It is the ability
to, recognize ability.
A father went to a• fellow and
said: "You've been calling on my
daughter now for years. Are your
intentions to her honorable or
dishonorable?" And the fellow
says, "You mean I got a
choice ?"
