Golden Glimpses ....
ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS
PAGE 11
Lovely are the silent woods
on crisp October days, when
the leaves fall red and gold
about the quiet ways, and from
our situation here, we can look
in any direction and seem to
be surrounded by all the beaut-
iful colours of autumn.
On Wednesday afternoon,
some of the residents tool<
advantage of the nice weather
and enjoyed a bus ride along
the lake, through Grand Bend
and around the Crediton area
where some of the joy riders
were anxious to look around at
former residences and familiar
surroundings.
We wish to thank the ladies
who responded to our invitation
for quilters. Although the quilt
at this time is not quite finished
probably by the end of the week
it will be pretty well wound up.
Our appreciation is extended
to Mr. Roy Erb, Mrs. Alvin
Steckle, Mrs, Margaret Clarke,
Mrs. Gladys Gingerich and Mrs.
Don Gingerich for the delicious
fresh vegetables they have
brought in, also to Mrs. Keith
Horner for the beautiful bouq-
uet of roses picked from her
garden. We sincerely thank
NIr. and Mrs. Ferguson of the
Ferguson Apiaries for their gen-
erous donation of fresh honey
which the residents will be
enjoying for some time.
We regret that Mrs. Rebecca

Our film nights have just
begun, and we are wondering
if there are any good samaritans
who could help us with pick
up and deliveries of films from
Goderich. If you happen to be
making a trip to Goderich and
could assist us in this matter,
it would be very much apprec-
iated.
The sympathy of residents
and staff is extended to the
families of the late Mr. Moses
Erb,
On Friday afternoon a bus
trip was arranged to Goderich
which the residents always seem
to enjoy.
Friday evening was bingo
night.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Bruce Guy of Zurich and Dash-
wood United Churches. Mrs.
Milton Oesch presided at the
organ during the worship service
The young people of the
Conservative Mennonite Church
visited the Home Sunday after-
noon and provided music for the
residents,

Let us forget the things that
vexed and tried us,
The worrying things that
caused our souls to fret,
The hopes that cherished long
were still denied us,
Let us forget.
Whatever things were good
and true and gracious,
Whate'er of right has triumph.
ed over wrong,
What love of God or man has
rendered precious.
Let us remember long.
