Zurich Citizens News, 1974-08-15, Page 15PAGE 16 ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 19'74 Zurich Bean Festival float in Friedsburg parade Hay council enters fire pact Hay council passed a motion last Tuesday night to enter into the fire protection agree- ment with the village of Dash- wood. The agreement involves a shared system by Hay and Stephen townships and the vill- age of Dashwood. Clerk Wayne Horner said that "Hay has accepted the items to be considered and has recommended to the village to prepare an agreement for final approval, according to discus- sions with the township."' Under the agreement the annual operating costs will be shared by the three bodies, as follows; 40 percent by Dash- wood and the remaining 60 percent split between Hay and Stephen townships. The split will be based on an assessment of land and buildings in the fire area. The Fire Board will consist of one representative each from the Dashwood trustees, and councils from hlay and Stephen Townships. The contract for the construct- ion of the works is to be let at a later date. The council received and accepted two drainage petit- ions. Charles Corbett was app- ointed to prepare a report. An application for severance was received from Cleave and Margaret Gingerich to sever part of lot 12 concession 11. Council recommended to the Huron County land division committee that the severance be granted.
