Committee active
A committee formed to prot-
est a proposed nuclear generat-
ing station south of Goderich
will continue to investigate rhe
effects such a plant would have
on Huron County despite last
week's announcement by Ont-
ario Hydro that it has suspend-
ed its plans for the project.
Huron Power Plant Commit-
tee chairman Adrian Vos of
Blyth said Friday: "The issue can
be revived at any time. This
action may be a political move
on the part of Ontario Hydro."
He said a subcommittee of
the group will continue to gath-
er information from other areas
where power plants and trans-
mission lines exist.
