Forty-seven members of the
Brussels Senior Citizens G1ub
had dinner at the Home on
Friday and enjoyed bingo with
the residents for the afternoon.
A special prize was given for
the lucky chair to Jack Carter,
Brussels, lucky card Mrs. Mc-
Kenzie, Huronview, eldest
lady playing Mrs. Shapton 98,
eldest man John McCallum 91.
The Happy Citizens Club of
Seaforth visited the Home on
Saturday and sponsored an
afternoon of euchre and crokin-
ole in the Auditorium. President
of the Club, Lorne Dennis, and
secretary, Mrs. Baker, arranged
the program for the afternoon
with 20 tables in play and
awarded the following prizes
to residents. High lady, Mrs.
Craddock, low, Mrs. Leybourne
high man, Torn Herman, low,
John Yuill; lond hands, Mrs.
Mary Taylor, eldest lady, Mrs.
Ryan, 98, eldest man John
McCallum 91. Following the
games Mrs. Welsh and Norman
Speir of the Home, entertained
with old tyme music. Three
hundred and fourteen visitors
registered during the week of
open house with two hundred

The Brussels antique car club
arranged a visit to the Home on
Sunday afternoon and following
a picnic dinner on the lawn
several residents enjoyed a ride
in some of the cars. Mr. Max
Watt was responsible for the
arrangements and we hope if
the members of the Club are
touring this part of the County
again in the future that they
call in as it was greatly apprec-
iated,

In July, Ontario will introduce a Special Benefits
program. It will place extra funds on top of federal
Guaranteed Income Supplements—enough to guarantee
the elderly who are qualified residents of Ontario
an income of $2600 a year. Blind and disabled
people who qualify for Family Benefits will also
be entitled to these special benefits.
Beginning September 1, approved drugs prescribed by
a doctor or dentist will be available, free of
charge, to those qualifying for the special benefits
outlined above, Family Benefits or the federal
Guaranteed Income Supplement. Drug cards will be
mailed automatically. You don't have to apply for them.
Who will receive these special benefits?
If you are 65 or over
