PROGRESS ON DENTAL CLINIC - Workmen have been making a great deal of headway during
the past week ()lithe new dental clinic being built in the east section of Zurich, for Dr. Grant Lee.
The new dentist, a recent graduate from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry,
hopes to be practicing in the new facilities in about one month's time. Contractor on the job is
Lloyd Mousseau.

Before his speech, Mr. Whel-
an told a farmer that some
Americans are trying to sneak
their cattle across the border
with phoney certificates saying
the animals have not been
treated with DES.
One certificate was signed by
a veterinarian in Texas. Mr.
Whelan said a check revealed
the veterinarian didn't exist.
"I believe in a Canadian
market for Canadians and an
American market for Ameri-
cans, " he said to the farmer.
Mr. Whelan's appearance was
a contrast to many political
rallies. There was no fanfare,
waving signs, or large crowds.
The small crowd which gather-
ed for the event was far smaller
than organizers hoped to see.
One said 1, 500 people were
expected.
The small numbers of support-
ers didn't seem to bother the
agriculture minister however,
as he moved through the crowd
with a smile, a handshake and
a nod of understanding when they
talked about their problems.
A farmer himself, Mr. Whel-
an knew about their problems
and offered his solutions.
