Zurich Atoms still playing
The Zurich Atoms competed
in the Mildmay Recreation Aton
Tournament Saturday where
they came up with victories
against Lucknow and Teeswater.
They also lost one game to
Lions Head by a score of 2-1,

The Atoms defeated Lucknow
8-0 Saturday in the Mildmay
Atom Tournament.
Zurich's scoring was controll-
ed by three players, Kris Bed-
ard, Robert Willert and Gordon
Love. Bedard scored four goals
while Willert scored three and

We extend our sympathy to
the family and friends of John
Smith who passed away a week
ago.
Wendy Mustard, Cheryl Web-
ster, and Linda Webster, spent
spring break week in London
England. They went with a
history class of students from the
County and saw the changing
of the guards, tower of London,
and Covent Gardens, along with
many more points of interest.
We welcome Mr. and Mrs.
Brian McAsh and family who
have now taken up resident in
Varna.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McCly-
mont attended the marriage of
her cousin, Debbie Wallace to
John Renne in Dublin on Friday
night.
The final bowling party of
the winter of the Orange Lodge
and wives was held on Friday
night, with Mr. and Mrs. Doug
McAsh as hosts.

Kris Bedard was the major
scorer in Saturday's game ag-
ainst Teeswater when he scored
a total of four goals. The rem-
aining two goals were scored
by Brian Horner and Robert
Willert. Bobby Hay and Kevin
Oke did an outstanding. job of
keeping the opposing team out
of the Zurich net, when they
came up with a combined shut-
out.

The Zurich Atoms were
defeated only once Saturday
and that loss carne against Lions
Head when they were defeated
2-1. Kris Bedard scored Zurich's
only goal. The names of the
Lions Head scorers were unknowi

The Zurich Atoms started the
playoffs for the "E" champion-

ship last Wednesday night in
Zurich when they handed Lions
Head a 7-1 defeat. On Friday,
night they returned to Lions
Head where they were defeated
4-1, tying the best three out of
five series, at one game each.

Zurich defeated Lions Head
7-1 in the first game of the
best three out of five series for
the "E" division championship.
Zurich took a 2-1 lead in the
first period on goals from Kris
Bedard and Brian Horner. Lions
Head goal was scored by Terry
Clark.
Robert and Jim Willert incr-
eased Zurich's lead by three
goals in the second period put-
ting them out in front with a
5-1 lead.
Jim Willert rallied twice in
the third period giving Zurich
their 7-1 victory.
LIONS HEAD 4 - ZURICH 1
The local Atom crew were
defeated Friday night in Lions
Head 4-1 after playing a score -

day, April 2, with the fourth
game in Lions Head on Thurs-
