The Huron County public
library board asked county
council Thursday for a building
of its own. The library now
operates from leased quarters.
The board recommended est-
ablishing a $30, 000 reserve
fund for a new structure.
But a suggestion that the site
should be acquired in the God-
erich area did not bring agree-
ment from all councillors.
Clinton Deputy Reeve Frank
Cook said the board should in-
vestigate buying one of the
buildings of the former air
force base at Vanastra, south
of Clinton. The board agreed
to study the recommendation.
