U.C.W. MEETING
The United Church Women
of Calvary church held their
March meeting with the Stew-
ardship and Recruiting group
in charge. The meeting open-
ed with the new version of the
Lord's Prayer. Mrs. Don
Gaiser led in prayer and Mrs.
Syd Neeb read the scripture.
Rev Bruce Guy gave a reading.
With the continuing of Mission
Impossible -- is Love, Rev.
Guy introduced a film strip
when questions were answered
by Mrs. Harold Hendrich and
Rev. Guy.
Role play was taken by Mrs.
William Chandler, Mrs. Greta
Schade, Mrs. Don Gaiser,
Mrs. H. Hendrich, Rev Guy
and Mrs. Jack Gaiser.
Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan, pres-
ident, dealt with the business.
Ninteeen members were pres-
ent. The ladies will put two
Easter lilies in the church for
Easter. The Sunshine commit-
tee is Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and
Mrs. E,R. Guenther.

Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid held
their March meeting Wednes-
day, March 13, following the
lenten sermon by Rev. Frank
Morgret. The sermon served as
the topic.

MRS. PATRICK SULLIVAN
A resident of the Mt. Carm-
el area, Mrs. Patrick Sullivan,
the former Catherine Kairns,
passed away at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Sarnia, on Tuesday,
March 19, in her 83rd year.
She was the wife of -Patrick
J. Sullivan, R.R.3, Dashwood.
Surviving are four daughters,
Mrs. Joseph Casey (Beatrice),
Wallacetown; Mrs. Jack Pear-
son (Theresa), London; Mrs.
Jerome Regier (Catherine) ,
Walkerton, and Mrs. Stanley
Loos, (Helen) Sarnia; and one
son, Patrick, R.R.3, Dashwood,
There are also twenty-two grand
children and four great grand-
children. One sister, Mrs.
Annie Keough, Dutton, and two
brothers, John Kairns, Dutton,
and Edward Kairns, West Lorne,
also survive. She was predeceas-
ed by one brother, Frank, and
one sister, Sister M. Barbara,
C.S.J.
The body is resting at the
T. harry Hoffman Funeral
Horne, Dashwood. The funeral
mass will be held in Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel Church, on
Thursday, March 21, at 10:30
a, m, with Father Mooney off-
iciating. Interment will be in
the adjoining cemetery.
DELMER J. MEIDINGER
A former resident of this
area, Delmer Joseph Meiding-
er, of Seaforth, passed away
suddenly in Clinton on Monday,
March 18, in his 53rd year.
His parents are Mr, and Mrs.
Alex Meidinger, of Zurich.
Also surviving is his wife, the
former Veronica Aubin; eight
children, Anthony, of London;
Mrs. Edward (Phyllis) Jeffrey,
of Dashwood; Mrs. Joseph (Jo-
anne) Federer, of Kitchener;
Patrick, Michael, Gerald,
Francis and Catherine, all at
home. There are also three sis-
ters, Mrs, Geraldine Sopha, of
Detroit, Mrs. Orville (Sidiona)
Aubin, of Breslau; Mrs. Veron-
ica Bannon, of London, and
four grandchildren.
The body rested at the G.A.
Whitney funeral home, Sea -
forth, until Wednesday morning,
March 20, when the funeral
mass took place in St. James
Church, Seaforth, at 10:30 a.m.
with Rev. H.J. Laraugh offic-
iating. Temporary entombment
was made in the Pioneer Mem-
orial Mausoleum, with inter-
ment to follow in St. James
Cemetery, Seaforth.

orted 23 visits. The New Guild
is Mrs. Lloyd Rader and Mrs.
Albert Miller. The Aid will

who was 101 Sunday, March 17,
held Open House at the home
of her granddaughter and husb-

erous callers with Mrs. Fisher
was her daughter, Mrs. Edna
Weber. Callers were from
Flint, Michigan, Forest, Thed-
ford, Kitchener, Baden, Zurich,
Exeter, London and Dashwood.

family, Kitchener, Mr. and
Mrs. George Schmidt, Baden,
Mr, and Mrs. Frank Brintnell,

4-H CLUB MEET
Club No I of the 4-1I girls
held their meeting with the
leaders, Mrs. Gordon Bender,
Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and 19 girls
present. The home economist
Jane Pengilley, was a special
guest. Roll call was "One health
habit I will follow to make a
lovely complexion." Mrs. Vesta
Miller demonstrated how to
care for hair, type of hair and
hair styling.

will be trained in practical laboratory tests

problems in the mechanical environment.

Technician, Technical Sales Representative,
Quality Control Technician, Production
Process Planner, to mention a few.
Engineering drawing is the most important branch of study in the Mechanical Drafting
Engineering Technician Program. Graduates will find job opportunities and challenge in such
diverse fields as mechanical, marine, plastics, pulp and paper, and will be employed as
draftsmen, estimators, inspectors and field representatives.
