visited recently in St. Cather-
ines and Toronto, In Toronto,
they attended the funeral of
the late Mrs. Homer Guenther,
who was a sister-in-law of Mr.
Guenther.
INFANT BAPTIZED
Joey Edward, small son of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Keller was
baptized in Zion Lutheran
church Sunday, January 6, by
Rev. Frank Morgret. Sponsors

Mrs. Susan Snider, Blue
Water Rest Home, Zurich,
spent some time with Mr. and
Mrs. Reinhold Miller.
Mrs. Art Haugh has returned
home after spending a week
with her daughter and family,
Mr. and Mrs. J. Hartman,
London, following her release
from Victoria Hospital. Her
granddaughter, Joanne,
accompanied her home and
spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Haugh.
Mrs. Martha Miller has ret-
urned home after spending two
weeks with her son and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Siegfried Miller,
Port Dover.
Milt Haugh returned home
Tuesday after spending a few
days with Mr. and Mrs. Mike
Burke and Susan, Brampton.
He accompanied his grandaught-
er Lynda Haugh.

at Vanastra
Tuckersmith Township taxes
for 1973 are $94, 802 in arrears
and most is owed by Vanastra
ratepayers.
Township clerk James Mc-
Intosh told the inaugural meet-
ing of council Saturday that
21-7 per cent of township taxes
had not been paid.
Vanastra residents owe $81,
214 or 16.8 per cent of total
taxes.
Township taxes in 1974 are
due June 15 and November 30.
Mr. McIntosh also reported
a 46 -per cent increase in the
value of building permits issued
in 1973. He said 62 permits
valued at $532,678 were issued.
Allan Nicholson, road super-
intendent is to compile a list
of all township bridges for the
ministry of transportation and
communications at Stratford
who will survey their safety for
carrying school buses.
Huron County board of educ-
ation requested a survey of bridg<.
safety following the collapse of
a township bridge last year near
Bluevale.
