VILLAGE OF HENSALL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WHEREAS plans and an engineer's report concerning prop- osed waste stabilization ponds and spray irrigation to serve the VILLAGE OF HENSALL and extending into the Township of Hay have been developed for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and whereas approval is required in accordance with Section 43 (1) of the Ontario Water Resources Act; AND WHEREAS it appears from an examination of the said plans that the proposed works will be located in the vicinity of part of Lots 17, 18 and 19, Concession 1 and part of Lot 17, Concession 11, Township of Hay: NOW THEREFORE this is to give notice that the Environ- mental Hearing Board of the said Ministry shall , on the 8th day of August,. 1973 at 9:30 o'clock EDST in the morning at the Council Chamber Municipal Hall, King Street, Village of Hensall, Ontario, hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 43 (1) of the said act. Plans of the proposed sewage works will be available for inspection in the offices of the Municipal clerks of the VILLAGE OF HENSALL and the Township of Hay. ONTARIO MINISTRY OF THE ENVIRONMENT H. According to food specialists at the Ontario Food Council, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, wrapping papers should be of heavy plastic, foil, or moisture - vapor -proof cellophane. House- hold waxed paper should not be used as it is not moisture -vap- our -proof and so allows food to dry out, resulting in a loss of quality. Former area correspondent leaves Hensall Mrs. Maude Redden, veteran news correspondent for area weekly and daily newspapers, as well as radio and television stations, has left Hensall for North Bay, where she will take up residence with her niece. Until her retirement a couple of years ago, Mrs. Hedden dev- oted most of her time to relay- ing area news to the various media. While in Hensall she was a member of the Hensall Women's Institute, Amber Rebekah Lodge, and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Some time ago she was presented with a life membership from the Legion Auxiliary. Unfortunately Mrs. Hedden has not been enjoying her usual good health this last while, and had been confined to South Huron District Hospital, Exeter. MRS. JOYCE PEPPER, CORRESPONDENT ANGLICAN CHURCH WOMEN The July meeting of the Angl- ican Church Women of St. Pauls Anglican Church was held on the church lawn. Games and contests were enjoyed by all. A short meeting followed with the president Mrs. G, A. Ander- son presiding. A motion was made to send the collection of pennies for this year to the Women's Inter Church Council for the Fellowship of the Least Coin. The auction sale which will be held in conjunction with Trivitt Memorial on Sept- ember 12 was discussed. Donat- ions of used and unused articles would be much appreciated. A notice to this effect will be advertised in the near future. Rev. G.A. Anderson closed the meeting with prayer, after which all sat down to a bounti- ful lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gittus and family have returned to their home in Rochester, Min- nesota, after having spent the past week with Mr . Gittus's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gittus.
