ARNOLD CIRCLE
The May meeting of the
Arnold Circle of Carmel Presby-
terian Church was held Monday
evening at the home of Marilyn
Campbell. The worship was
taken by Norma Stretton and
Marilyn Campbell.
Peggy Campbell and Erlene
Stewart canvassed on behalf of
the Arnold Circle for the Bible
Society. Mrs. Myrtle Orr gave
a report on the Synodical she
had attended in Wingham rec-
eptly. A donation was made to
Camp Kins of
Members of the Arnold Circle
agreed to pay for books and
supplies for the C. O, C. group
of the Church, and are also
planning to attend the W.M.S.
83rd anniversary on June 4, at
8 p.m.

The regular meeting of Amb-
er Rebekah Lodge was held
recently in the Lodge rooms
with N.G. Mrs. Irene Blackwell
presiding and being assisted by
V.G. Mrs. A,deen Volland.

Secretary Mrs. Leona Parke
read several than -you cards and
also an invitation to the fortieth
anniversary of the Brussels Lodge
on June 6. Mrs. Hazel Corbett
gave a report for the finance
committee.
Arrangements were made for
a representative and scholar to
attend Grand Lodge sessions at
the Royal York Hotel in Toronto
on June 18 to 20. It was voted
to send a donation to the Huron-
view Home to help to purchase
a van for rides for the residents,

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoy,
and Mrs, Tressa Fletcher were
in Waterloo last Thursday where
they attended the Convocation
Exercises at the University of
Waterloo, when Michael and
Mary Beth Hoy received their
Bachelor of Arts degree. Mary
Beth is presently engaged in
Social Work in London. Mich-
ael is presently employed with
the Works Department of the
town of Exeter, and is enrolled
in Althouse College at Western
University for the year commen-
cing in September.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hyde
have returned hone from a
pleasant three week vacation
spent in California.

White gladioli and yellow
shasta daisies graced the front
of Hensall United Church for
the wedding of Sandra Elizab-
eth Schroeder, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Schroeder,
Hensall and William Charles
Hou, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Hoy, Hensall,
Rev., Donald Beck officiated
for the double -ring ceremony.
The wedding music was provid-
ed by Mrs. Jack Turkheim with
Gary School, London as soloist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore floor-
length lace gown, the lace
bodice trimmed with rhinestones
The elbow length veil fell
from a cap trimmed with rhine-
stories. She carried a bouquet
of yellow roses, daisies and
baby's breath.

of honor, wearing a floor length
gown of mauve Peau de soie,

The bridesmaids Mrs. Ron
Schroeder, Zurich, sister -in-
law of the bride and Miss Susan
Dignan, Hensall wore floor
length gowns of mauve figured
polyester, with leg o' mutton
sleeves. The attendants wore
interest
wide brimmed mauve hats and
carried bouquets of yellow
shasta daisies with baby's breath
and yellow ribbons..
The flower girl, Kelly Schroe,
der, Zurich, neice of the bride
wore a floor -length dress of
white Peau de Sole and carried
a bouquet of yellow shasta
daisies, with baby's breath and
yellow ribbons.
Michael Hoy, brother of the
groom was best man, The ush-
ers were Ken Schroeder, brother
of the bride and David Kipfer.
The ring bearer was Kevin
Sweeney, Zurich, Nephew of
the bride.
The wedding reception was
'held at the Zurich Community
Centre. The bride's mother
received guests wearinga floor -
length gon of flowerd crepe
with mauve accessories, and
corsage of yellow mums.
The groom's mother received
guests wearing an orange ice
chiffon floor -length gown with
a corsage of white ums and
orange stars.
For a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario the bride wore a plaid
pant suit with brown accessories
and a yellow rose corsage.
The young couple will reside
at R.R.3, Zurich.

Mr. and Mrs. Iv on Steckle
Jr., Lisa and Lori, Goderich,
visited hisparents Mr, and Mrs.
Ivon Steckle Sr., on Sunday,
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Scotch-
mer, Robert and Lori, Chatham,
were with his mother, Mrs. L.
W, Scotchrner, for the weekend,
MD. and Mrs. Jack Pounder,
and family, Lambeth, spent
the weekend at their village
home.
