Seven teams entered in Huron -Perth The Huron -Perth Intermed- iate baseball league will be back in action this summer for the forty-second straight year. Glenn Webb of Dashwood was re-elected president of the league which is one of the old- est in the province in its affilia- tion with the Ontario Baseball Association. The vice-president is Len Fawcett and the secretary -treas- urer is John Livermore. Both men are from Clinton. It is expected seven teams will be entered, Ready to go are teams from Exeter, Dashwood, Clinton, Thorndale and Arva along with two clubs from Walkerton. The Bruce County town wishes to enter a junior and an intermed- iate "A" club in the Huron- Perth, Mitchell and Wingham were in the league last year but neither club has indicated it will be back this summer. Delegates at Monday's meet- ing were enthusiastic about the possibilities of again forming minor leagues under the guid- ance of the Huron -Perth. A suggestion that all games played under the lights at the ball parks so equipped be rest- ricted to seven innings was def- eated.
