Miss Simpson told of how cot-
ton material is most popular. It
can be bleached, easily laund-
ered, is reasonably priced and
cool. It has the most common
uses and is of least care in
laundering. Man-made fibers
produce about sixty varieties of
materials. Spruce chips, with
chemicals added and dyed to
required colors in either of three
stages provides cloth that can
be water repellent, stain resist-
ant, moth proffed, crease resist-
ant, resists shrinkage, non-
flammable. Most materials are
washable, quick drying, with
no ironing.
She told of the Fabric label-
ling. This is very important
to help with choosing materials
and clothing. Laundry care for
man-made fibers is very neces-
sary.
