BLUE WATER REST HOME
I doubt if anyone wants to
discuss the weather after the
gloomy week that has just past,
and it appears that this week
might be a repeat performance
so perhaps we can find some-
thing more cheerful to dwell on.
Since we are now on daylight
saving time, films were shown
last Monday evening but that
will be the last until fall arrives
and the Clays are shorter.
Wednesday evening was the
regular monthly meeting of the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Home.
Mrs. Lydia Regier was convenor
of the program committee and
prior to the business session,
the students of St. Marys School,
St. Joseph, provided the resid-
ents with a program of square
dancing and other numbers.
Mr. Mozart Gelinas, Sr., and
Mr. George Mathonia provided
the music. Folloving the prog-
ram a delicious lunch was serv-
ed by the Auxiliary members.
At the business part of the
meeting plans were made for
the May Day Tea to be held on
Saturday, May 26, from 2 to
4 p.m. There will be a bake
table and bazaar items which
should be of interest to everyone
The public are invited to attend
this annual event to help support
the work of the Auxiliary,
Bingo was enjoyed as usual on
Thursday evening followed by
refreshments.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Donald Beck, of Hensall United
Church. Mrs. Lenora Turkheim
was the organist and accomp-
anied'the soloist, Mr. Harry
Horton who provided special
music during the service.
