Louise Finkbeiner to Clayton
David Mizen, on Saturday,
August 5, 1972, at 3 p.m.
among a setting of candelabra
of multi -coloured flowers.
The wedding music was played
by Mr. Nelson McClinchey,
of Kitchener, uncle of the
bride. Guest soloist was David
Janzi, Kitchener. He sang
"I'11 Walk Beside You" and
"The Wedding Prayer."
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
a floor -length gown of white
silk organza styled with emp-
ire waist line, A-line skirt,
Victorian neck-line, and
bishop sleeves trimmed with
French guipure lace accented
by an attached chapel train.

The bride also wore a juliet
cap of French guipure lace,
and tiny seed pearls trimmed
with two-tier French illusion
veil similarly outlined with
lace. Her bouquet was pink
roses, baby carnations and
stephanotis.
The bride's cousin, Miss
Dianne Dalton, of Kitchener
was maid of honour. Miss Joan
Mizen of .i Allenford, sister
of the groom, and Miss Diane
Nigh, Seaforth, another cousin
of the bride were her brides-
maids. Their gowns were
floor -length blue crimplene
styled similar to that of the
bride, with short puffed sleeves,
and lace trim around the neck-
line. The bridesmaids carried
white baskets of multi -coloured
flowers centered with pink
rose buds.
The best man was Timothy
Harden, of Kitchener, Ray
Finkbeiner, brother of the
bride and Murray Mizen, brothe
of the groom ushered the guests.
The wedding dinner was held
in the church basement. For
entertaining the guests, the
bride's mother chose a coat
dress ensemble of orange and
mauve flowers with white
accessories. The groom's mother
chose flowered princess line
polyester crepe with white
carnation corsage.
For a wedding trip to North-
ern and Eastern Ontario, the
bride chose a floorxlength
gown of jersey in sailor mater-
ial with red accessories.
She wore a Frenched carnation
corsage.
The happy couple will
reside at 36 West Street,
Goderich, Ontario.
The parents of the bride
and groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Finkbeiner, Zurich,
and Mr, and Mrs. Charles
Mizen of R.R.3, Allenford,
Ontario.
Prior to Joan's wedding she
was honoured by many lovely
showers. Mrs. Jack McClinch-
ey was hostess for relatives,
Bethel Bothel Church Youth
group, of Seaforth, had a
miscellaneous shower in her
honour. Mrs. Maurice Finkbein-
er held a shower for relatives
on the Finkbeiner side. Miss
Sharon Jacobe and Mrs. Donna
Greb had one at the church.
Mrs. Jim Parkins was hostess
to friends, Miss Judy Dickey
and Miss Linda Hackney, of
Exeter, held a Tupperware
Shower for the girls of Joan's
class at SHDHS. Dianne Klopp
was hostess for the 4-H girls
and friends.
Guests were present from
Manitoba, Toronto, Owen
Sound, Allenford, Hamilton,
Clinton, Seaforth, Kitchener
and Zurich.

Plowing match
Plans for the 45th Huron
County Plowing Match were
finalized at a well attended
meeting held in McKillop
Township Hall, Winthrop
on Thursday night.
The Match is to be held
on the William Steckle farm,
2 miles south of Bayfield, on
Highway 21, on August 29.
Coaching day was set for Mon-
day, August 28 when expert
coaches will be on hand to
advise plowmen on the fine
points of plowing.
The Annual Horse Shoe
Pitching Competition will be
held in connection with the
Plowing Match as well as a
draw for a carcass of -beef.

Miss Shirley McClinchey,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
McClinchey, Clinton, graduat-
ed from the Kitchener -Water-
loo School of Nursing, on
Friday, July 28, 1972. She will
be on the staff at Kitchener -
Waterloo Hospital in September
Mr, and Mrs, Bob Johnston
and family spent their vacation
visiting with relatives in Roch-
ester New York, Brampton and
Owen Sound.

OF THE LEGISLATURE
ON THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD
INVITATION TO SUBMIT WRITTEN BRIEFS
On June 30th, 1972, the Ontario Legislature appointed a
Select Committee to examine, inquire into and report upon
the Ontario Municipal Board and to make
recommendations on: (a) the purpose, object and functions
of the Ontario Municipal Board. (b) the jurisdiction of the
Ontario Municipal Board. (c) the structure and
organization of the Ontario Municipal Board. (d) the
procedures and practices of the Ontario Municipal Board.
(e) the procedures by way of appeal from the orders and
rulings of the Ontario Municipal Board,. including appeals
by way of petitions to the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
(f) the relationship of the Ontario Municipal Board in the
discharge of its responsibilities with the Provincial
Government, local government and the individual citizen.
The Committtee invites written briefs from individuals and
organizations who may wish to present information,
opinions or suggestions regarding any of the above matters
relating to the Ontario Municipal Board.
Briefs must be submitted by September 15th, 1972 to the
Clerk of the . Committee Box 233, Main Parliament
Building, Toronto 182, Ontario.
