number of credits required.
Principal J. L. Wooden, says the
conversion to a credit descript-
ion will not be difficult as the
school will merely assign a
credit value to each subject.
Grade XIII students will face
a somewhat more difficult set of
requirements for the Honour
Graduation Diploma since the
change from seven credits to
six credits in fact increases the
course load for most students.
In the past there were credit
grade thirteen courses; these
have been eliminated and each
grade thirteen course has been
assigned a value of one credit;
consequently, a student must
take a minimum of six courses;
in the past he could have taken
as few as four courses.

The Ontario Safety League
quotes a study showing that city
drivers have to make a major
decision every 12 seconds, on
the average.
Here's an intriguing thought
sent recently to the Ontario
Safety League. If all automobiles
were painted red we'd have a
red carnation.
Danger to a driver can come
from any direction. You have to
see danger to avoid it, says the

Aerosol spray cans contain
products ranging from hair spray
to paint. But this modern cony-
enience can also be dangerous,
says farm safety specialist Hal
Wright.
The first and most important
step is to read the label before
pushing the button. All products
have specific warning labels
and instructions printed on the
can.
Heat can have a disastrous
effect on a can and its contents.
Therefore, says Mr. Wright,
never incinerate or burn the can;
the result could be an explosion.
For the same reason, the cap
should never be left in direct
sunlight, or close to a heat
source such as a stove, radiator
or furnace.
Never puncture the container.
The pressurized contents could
explode, causing injury or death.
