Mrs. G. Glenn gave the worship, "The Common Heart, " assisted by Mrs. T. Brintnell, Mrs. H. Parker the Stewardship, "Partners with God.' The ladies set November 3 for their Fall Bazaar, and decid- ed to paint the exterior of the church. Mrs. Rose Harris had the program. Meeting closed with Prayer. Mrs. Bertha Jinks will celeb- rate her 88th birthday, Monday, September 13, at the home of Mrs. Gordon Schwalm, Unit IV of UCW, Hensall United Church, will hold their meeting this Thursday, Sept- ember 9. Tony Gelderland, Ridgetown, is visiting with Mr, and Mrs. Sim Roobol for a few clays and attended the funeral of Mr. Archie Legerwerf at Parkhill, Thursday, Lynne Dodds, of Seaforth, is visiting with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobol. Ray McKenzie, Toronto, formerly of Ilensall, is a patient in Lakeshore Hospital, New Toronto, recovering from injuries he received in an accident, when he fractured his arm and leg. AMBER REBEKAHS The fall meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge was held Wed- nesday, September 1, with a good attendance, opened by Noble Grand Mrs. Jack Taylor Plowing match At a directors meeting of the Huron Plowmen's Association held in McKillop Municipal - Office, arrangements were completed for holding the 1971 Plowing Match on October 9, on the farm of Jamieson Ribey, Lot 5, Con. 9, Colborne Town- ship. Arrangements were also made co hold a coaching day on Friday afternoon October 8, at the same farm, when expert plow- men will be on hand to advise contestants on the fine points of plowing. occupying the chair, assisted by Vice Grand, Ms. Elizabeth Riley.
