their hair and carried nosegays
of white mums.
Miss Jane Carter, cousin of the
bride was flower girl and wore
a floor length gown similar to
the bridesmaids. Master Billy
Darrell, nephew of the bride
was ring -bearer, and carried a
satin pillow trimmed with the
bride's lace.
The groomsman was Kevin
McKinnon, Zurich. Guests were
ushered by Steve Kyle, Tillson-
burg, brother of the groom,
Shane McKinnon, Zurich, and
William Taylor, Hensall.
Following the ceremony the
bridal party received guests at
a dinner and reception held
at the Legion Hall.
Receiving her guests, the
bride's mother wore a blue
multi -colored crepe-de-chene
dress with long full sleeves
and white crimp coat with
navy accessories and a corsage
of blue and white mums. She
was assisted by the groom's
mother who chose a pink crepe
dress with matching coat, black
accessories and corsage of pink
and white mums.

Mr. Charles Merrill was org-
anist, soloist Mrs. Robert Ho-
muth sang "God Bless this Hour"
"Wedding Song, " Hawiian Wed-
ding Song, and the "Lord's
Prayer."
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Carter,
Clinton, and the groom's par-
ents are Mr. and Mrs. David
Kyle, Hensall.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length gown, the skirt featuring
six tiers of floral scalloped lace,
fitted bodice with long full
sleeves forming tight cuffs at
the wrist, and high neckline.
Floral headpiece with tiny
pearls held her shoulder length
veil. She carried a white bible
decorated with a purple orchid
showered with white mums.
Matron of Honor was Mrs.
William Darrell, sister of the
bride, bridesmaids were Miss
Nancy Kyle, Hensall, sister of
the groom, Miss Janet Meld -
lager and Miss Debbie McKinley,
both of Zurich. They were
gowned alike in coral puckered
For travelling on their honey-
moon to Northern Ontario the
bride changed to a purple hot
pants ensemble.
The couple , will reside in
Exeter.
Out of town guests attending
the wedding were from God-
erich, Grand Bend, Wingham,
Toronto, Hensall, Zurich
London, W oodstock, Tillson-
burg, Exeter, St. Thomas,
Bayfield, Centralia, Brussels,
Setiorth and Crediton.
Prior to the wedding the bride
was honored at showers given by
Mrs. William Darrell, Clinton,
Mrs. John Meade, Clinton., Miss
Janet Meidinger, Zurich and
Mrs. Byron Kyle, Hensall.
Special rate
OFA has recommended to the
Provincial government for sever-
al years the establishment of a
Separate category and licence
fee schedule for farm trucks.
This category would apply only
to trucks used by farmers for
their own use. Trucks for hire
would not be eligible.
OFA President Gordon Hill
said this week that "information
from DBS states farm trucks are

average annual mileage is
3,700 miles and estimated cap-
acity utilization is 24. 9'/o.
Therefore, he continued, "OFA
believes farmers should pay only
255 of the rate charged trucks
for hire which are fully loaded a
larger portion of the time and
are in constant use,
"The OFA asks that the bene-
fits apply to a licence for gross
weights of over 5, 000 pounds"
Mr. Hill said, "so that small
trucks used mainly for transport-
ation are not included.
