Fiddle Contest
Gordon Elson of Ingersoll won
the Ontario old-time fiddling
championship in lfensall last
Saturday night.
The annual event, sponsored
by the Hensall Kinsmen Club,
attracted about 2, 000 spectators
and 50 fiddlers.
Asir. Elson beat 13 other fiddlers
to win his first major competit-
ion.
Runner-up was the lone wom-
an entry in the class A open
section. Eleanor Moorehead of
Fergus. Third was Jerry St.
Marie of London.
Mr. Elson received the Ward
