ANNIVERSARY SERVICES
Splendid congregations attend-
ed anniversary service in Hensall
United Church, Sunday, June 20,
and were most happy to welcome

Snell, B,A,B, D, of Riverside
United Church, London the guest
minister for the day, who deliv-
ered two very inspiring messages ,
For the morning subject he chose
to speak on "The Church To -Day,
Alive; Active: Aware. For his
evening discourse he spoke on
"At every corner." The Senior
and Junior choirs of the church
Provided special music for the
morning service, while the l lur-
onia Choir for their evening sel-
ections sang"Jesus set the world
to singing, Sunrise, Sunset,
""Evening Prayer, " "Day is dying
in the West, " solo and chorus,
"The Lord's Prayer. Mrs. J.
Turkheim presided at the church
organ.
Hensall swimming at Exeter
starts July 5, for nine weeks,
from 1 to 2 p, m. Monday thru
Friday. The cost is $6.00 per
person. Bus leaves at 12:45 from
the Town Hall, Hensall.
Ilensall recreation starts July
12 to July 30 every other day. A
meeting of the parents will be
held at the liensall Arena June
30, at 8 p.m., to discuss rec-
reational activities.

spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. John Soldan. Arriving on
Friday to attend this reunion are
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pardo,
Eugene, Oregon, and Mrs. Ruth
Ford of Grants Pass, Oregon,
will arrive in London Friday to
Mr, and Mrs. Harry Hoy and
Mrs. Ed Fink have returned home
from a month's tour of England,
Scotland, Belgium, Holland,
Germany and France. They
report excellent weather in these
countries and they enjoyed their
trip immensely.
Mrs. T. J, Sherritt, Mrs. R. M.
Peck, Mrs. Robert Elgie, Mrs.
Walker Carlile and Mrs. Nellie
Riley, members of the Ilensall
Women's Institute, were up to
Huronview Monday afternoon,
assisted with the Senior Citizen's
Week. Monday was their dance
program which all enjoyed.
Lunch of tea and cookies were
served in the auditorium,
The Hensall and Chiselhurst
congregations are having a
special service to honour Rev.
Harold Currie and his family,
at Hensall United Church, on
Sunday, June 27, at 11 a. m. The
Rev. Clifford Waite, a close
friend of Rev. Currie, will be
the guest minister.
The Induction of Rev. Donald
Beck as pastor of the Hensall-
Chiselhurst charge will be held
in the Hensall United Church,
Tuesday, June 29, at 8m,(continued

The Rev. Bruce Guy, of Dashwoocforth;
will be in charge of the service.
The Rev. Robert Raymont, of
Goderich will give the message.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hocking
(Kathryn Ford) of Hastings, Neb-
raska, arrived last week to attend
the Bolton -Ford Reunion at the
Soldan farm, Sunday June 27.
They are at present visiting their
cousins in Western Ontario, and
attend the Reunion,
Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle
returned last week from a pleas-
ant two weeks visit in I Iauhilton
and while there visited their
daughter Ann in Toronto, and
Mrs. Clifford Cox, the former
Mary Stewart, who taught several
years ago in the continuation
school in liensall,
Mr. and 1, -its, Don Dodds, Sea-
Sim Roobol, M. Van Dyk,
llensall, attended the funeral of
Mrs. A. Gelderland in Ridgetown.
Mr, and Mrs. William Mickle
family, Pamela, Judith and
and Mrs. Florence Joynt
visited recently with the formers
brother, Charles, in Hamilton.

Mrs. A. Poole, of Three Rivers,
Quebec, visited with Sim Roobol,
also with Mrs. Roobol in the Ilosp-
ital, and attended the funeral of

8:30 to 12 noon and from 12;20
p.m. to 4 p.m., agreed to re -
main at the Clinton Board office
in the nurses' residence on a
month to month basis at a rental
of $300 per month; and approved
the schedule for afternoon meet -
ings of the board as presented by
Dr. A.B. Deathe to begin in
October.
