This group of youths are shown as they leave to walk to Hensali and back, a distance of about 13 miles. Midget base- ball team thumped Goderich 10-3 after being beaten by the sante team in their opening game. Goderich took a 1-0 lead in the first inning but Zurich tied the game in the second. Zurich took a slight 2-1 lead after three innings, but went ahead by four runs in the fourth. Goderich scored their last run in the fifth inning, with Zurich going ahead 6-3. Zurich rallied for four more runs before the end of the game to take a 10-3 victory. Strong at bat for Zurich were Gerard Charrette, Bill Bedard, and Rick Regier, with two hits each. flitting safely once were Harvey Desjardine and John Mommersteeg. John Mommersteeg was the winning pitcher for Zurich while Patterson was the losing pitcher. 0 REST HOME AUXILIARY The monthly meeting of the 13luewater Rest Home Auxiliary was held at the Home on Wed- nesday evening, June 2. It was noted that the May Day Tea and Bake Sale was a great success. Monsignor Bordeau Leaves St. Peters (continued from page 1) to say Mass each summer at the Bayfield Chapel. Monsignor is guite proud of the church at St. Peter's, which he has had remodelled twice at a cost of thousands of dollars. "It is interesting to me to marry young people now whom I bapt- ized as infants." he added. "There is a great deal of satis- faction in seeing this accompl- ished. On May 25, members of St. Peter's Parish held a special farewell for Monsignor Bourdeau, and every school child in the parish took part in the program. "Seeing the school children perform for me brought tears to my eyes." he said. "I love every one of them." For many years before the birtl of county school boards he had served as secretary of the trustee board at St. Marys School. The successor to Monsignor Bourdeau at St, Peter's will be Father Alphonse A. Robert, who will arrive in the parish this Friday.
