All members were present and answered to the 4-H Pledge. In this club, "Focus on Fitness" the girls will study mental and 1 physical health, safety and leis- ure time activities. Toni Pennings was nominated for president and Rita Pennings as press secretary. The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 22, at the home of Debbie McKinley. Saturday, September 10, the group went on a hike to Camp- bell's Lake which proved to be very worthwhile. While there they saw various species of wild- life and plants. Mrs. Ilarold Thiel cond- ucted the program. She gave highlights of Mrs. Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, found• er of the Women's Institute. She was a "Woman with a Vision' who worked tirelessly to help homemakers. Her name has been placed on the honor roll through- out the world. During her brief 52 years of life, she helped to found the Young Women's Christ- ian Association; the Victorian Order of Nurses; the National Council of Women; Macdonald Institute at Guelph; the school of Household Science at Mac- donald College and the Women's Institute organizations. Members gave. their impres- sions on the bus trip of September 9, to Port Colbourrie, Niagara and Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Ilomstead, Everyone was impres- sed with the views of the Fort THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1970 Erie park and race track where 14, 000 annual plants were in bloom. Arrangements were made to serve a noon banquet dinner in October, Zurich Institute are host to Centralia Rally, October 5, at Centralia Huron Park.
