Mrs, Amelia Willert is spend- ing Some time in London with her Stephen Township Adopts Fire Plan At a special meeting last week Stephen township council agreed to accept the proposal from the Village of Crand Bend regarding fire protection for the west end of the municipality. Under the new agreement that is expected to be completed short- ly the townships of Stephen and Bosanquer will each pay thirty percent of all fire protect- ion costs while Grand fiend will take care of the balance of forty percent. In. the past both townships in- volved along with flay township paid Grand Bend a yearly retainer fee for services rendered by the summer resort's fire fighting equip luent. Ilay recently turned down a proposal to join with the other three municipalities, The tender for crushing and stockpiling approximately 22, uutt cubic yards of gravel at Sillery's Pir in Usborne township was let to R. Jennison, of Grand Bend.
