The Exeter detachment of the
Ontario Provincial Police invest-
igated four accidents during the
week of August 9 to August 15, in
which eight persons received in-
juries.
A total of 21 charges were laid
under the Highway Traffic Act,
and 20 warnings issued under the
same act. Two charges were laid
under the Criminal Code of Can-
ada,
an-ada,
The accidents were as follows:
On Sunday, August 9, Prov-
incial Constable D,A, Lamont
investigated, a hit and run collis-
ion that occurred at 1.45 a, m.
on Huron County Road No, 21.
Involved in the collision was a
vehicle driven by John E. Alder-
son, R. R.1, Exeter, The other
vehicle involved is unknown.
Damage to the car driven by
Alderson is estimated at $200,
No injuries.
On Thursday, August 13, Prov-
incial Constable D,A, Lamont
investigated a two vehicle collis-
ion than occurred at 2.30 p.111.
on a private driveway owned by
R. McCurdy, of Woodham, A
vehicle which had been parked
in the driveway was damaged
