are visiting in this area for sever-
al days,

ich, visited Mr. and Mrs, Blaise
Ducharme last Friday, The Duch-
armes returned home to Windsor
after a very enjoyable vacation at.
St. Joseph,
Mrs. Sarah Jeffrey visited Mrs.
Alfred Ducharme on Monday ev-
ening, along with Lucille, Cheryl
and Gerard. Also Mr. and Mrs.
Avilla Ducharme, Blaise and
Joyce Ducharme, and Cyrille
and family helped to make an
enjoyable evening and gave much
comfort to Mrs. Ducharme, who
recently lost her husband, the
late Alfred Ducharme.
Mr, and Mrs. Allan Ross, of
Toronto, were visited at their
cottage last weekend by Mr. Ross's!
sister and her husband, Mr. and
Mrs. L. McKellar, of Ottawa,
and their two granddaughters,
Stephanie and Tracey, of Jack-
sonville, Florida,
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gerlach, of
St. Clair Shores visited Mr. and
Mrs. Pierre Cantin and family,
at their cottage at Cantin Beach,
St. Joseph,
• Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Den-
omme and Mr. and Mrs. Garfield
Denomme, spent the weekend
in Paincourte for their ordination
to the Roman Catholic priesthood,
of their nephew, Leo Denomme,
son of Mr. and Mrs, Telesphore
Denomme, of Paincourt.
Mr. and Mrs. James Hogg Sr.,
returned to their home in Van-
couver B , C , after a three week
holiday with their son and his
family, Mr, and Mrs, Jim Hogg
and 'girls,
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Jeffrey an<
Denise and Lynda Jeffrey, all of
London visited their parents, Mr.
and Mrs, Dominic Jeffrey, St.
Joseph, last weekend.
Michael and Jeanette Jeffrey,
children of Mr, and Mrs. Dom-
inic Jeffrey are spending two
weeks vacation in Detroit, at the
home of Mr, and Mrs. Stephen
Jeffrey and family,
Dianne Holbrooke, of Detroit
is spending a few days with her

of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Mr.
and Mrs, Jerry Finn and Pauline
Denomme, of Windsor, Mr. and
Mrs, Leo Ducharme and family,
of Windsor, and Mr. and Mrs.
Desmond Ducharme, of London,
were visitors at Mr. and Mrs,
Pete Ducharme over the past
weekend.
Mr, and Mrs. Dennis Durand
are spending a week's holidays
at Durand Beach,
Mr, and Mrs, Tony Regier,
with Sharon and Tony, of Detroit,
spent the weekend down at their
cottage at Sunset Cove.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Sweeney
and family spent the past week-
end visiting in Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. -Jack O'Brien
and family, of Nova Scotia, are
spending a two week vacation
with Mr. and Mrs, Harvey Claus-
ius and other relatives.
Mrs. Ross McNabb and sons, of
Nova Scotia, are holidaying with
Mrs, McNabb's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Norman Gascho.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill O'Brien
and Jimmy, of Niagara Falls
spent the past week with Mr. and
Mrs. Leroy O'Brien.
Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hugill, Beth
and Gary, of Kitchener were
weekend visitors with the latter's
mother, Mrs. E. Thiel. Debbie
O'Brien and Cheryl Turkheim
returned home with them to
spend the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Clausius
and family, of Quebec, are hol-
idaying with their parents and
other relatives.
John Blackwell is attending
the United Church Camp, at God -1
erich this week. He is a couns-
ellor for junior boys.
Mr. and Mrs. A. DeMooy , of
Zurich, left Friday, July 24,
from Toronto International Airport,
to arrive at Amsterdam, Holland. ;
They plan to stay for three weeks
visiting with their parents and
other relatives and friends.
Mr. Albert Hey, of Cromarty
was a one -day visitor with Mr.
and Mrs. Ted Steinbach, last
week. Also visiting with Mr. and
Mrs, Steinbach, recently, were
Mr. and , rs. S. Schwartz, of
Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. R.
Schwartz, of Exeter.
VARNA
The closing exercises of the
Vacation Bible School was held
in the United Church, last Friday
evening with Rev. M. Morrison
in charge.
The service in the United
Church next Sunday will be in
charge of the UCW. After the
service a picnic lunch will be
served on the church lawn.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor
returned home after a trip to

Mr. and Mrs. Don Gascho and
family left this week after spend-
ing a six week vacation with rel-
atives and friends in,Zurich,' God-
erich, Toronto and Ottawa. Mr.

Gascho has been the assistant
manager with the Bank of Nova
Scotia, St. Croix, Virgin Islands,
and has accepted a transfer to
Puerto Rico. He and his family
will be moving there shortly after
their return.
