mond Kenneth McLean, son of

also of Hensall.
Rev. H. Currie performed the
double ring ceremony. Organist
was Mrs. J. Turkheim , who
played traditional wedding music
and accompanied the soloist,
Miss Cheryl Monteith, of London,
friend of the bride, as she sang
"The Wedding Prayer; " and "I'll
Walk Beside You."
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride was charming in an
imported Italian silk faced peau
de soie gown with Venice lace.
A high Victorian neckline and
wrist length sheath sleeves ad-
orned with scalloped bands of
Venice lace added to the semi
Empire waistline bodice topping
a slightly gathered formal length
skirt , gave an old world air to
this bride. Dimensional style
Venice lace florettes were used

to adorn the bodice and lower
half of the skirt. Back detail
was centered on the cathedral
length train attached at the waist,
outlined with the lace edging and
matching lace florettes. A floral
halo was worn to hold the elbow
length bouffant bridal veil that
completed her bridal ensemble.
She carried a cascade of pink
roses and white stephanotis.
Matron of honor, Mrs. Marion
McClure, R. R.4 Walton, sister
of the bride, was gowned in a berr;
pink sleeveless pant gown styled
with scoop neckline and a band
of guipire lace around the empire
waist, White guipire daisies were
scattered over the bodice. Brides-
maids, Mrs. Ann McMillan, Lond-
on, Miss Gwen McLean, Hensall,
sister of the groom and Mrs. Shir-
ley Proctor, Scarboro, cousin of
the bride were dressed in white
pant gowns identical to the mat-
ron of honor, with pink daisies
enhancing the bodice. All wore a
pink headress of silk illusion with
a double row of white pearls on
• the front and pink gloves. They
carried white parasols trimmed
with lace and miniature pink and
raspberry carnations.
Larry McLean, Hensall, broth-
er of the groom, was best man.
Guests were ushered by Dan Mc-
Millan, London, Bob Turner, R.R
1, Zurich, brother of the bride,
and Eric Campbell, Hensall.
For a reception held in the
Fellowship Hall decorated in pink
and white, the bride's mother
received guests wearing a sleeve-
less dress of mint green crepe
with a soft cowl neckline and
princess lines accented by pearl
beading. She wore mint green
accessories and a corsage of pink
roses. She was assisted by the
groom's mother who chose a yel-
low and white sleeveless knit two
piece ensemble. She wore yellow
and white accessories and a cors-
age of tawny roses.
A reception was held in the
Zurich Community Centre later
'in the evening at which the young
couple was presented with a gift
of money.
For their wedding trip to Wash-
ington, D.C. and Cape Cod, the
new bride chose a pink crepe pant
outfit trimmed with rose beads
around the empire waist. Her
accessories were tiny pink roses
in her hair and white "wet look"
shoes and purse, and a corsage
of pink roses.
The young couple will reside
in London where they are both
employed.
Prior to her wedding the pop-
ular bride was entertained at
several showers Those honoring
her were Mrs. Ann McMillan,
London, a "his and her" shower
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Elsner Hayter, Varna; Varna Com-
munity held at the Varna Hall
and girlfriends at 3M where the
bride is employed, held at the
apartment of Miss Colleen Meagh-
er, in London.
