Mr. Hill, in his remarks, sug- gested that farmers withhold the education portion of their taxes. "For 20 years we have been trying to get a more equitable levy of school tax, " he said. "Education tax should be based, not on prop- erty assessment, but on income, which is a true indicator of your ability to pay." The OFA backs withholding of the education portion of the tax and Mr. Hill went on to point out examples of unfairness, Mr. Hill also commented on the issue of the importation of the powdered milk fromlreland and said the OFA is supporting the Ontario Milk Marketing Board and the National Farmers' Union in their demands that the importation -be stopped. Mason Bailey, individual sales co-ordinator, reported that sales had risen 105o over last month and that there had been requests from three townships for sales blitz. In other business, the directors turned down the proposal for five districts in the county, preferring to stay on a township level. A resolution dealing with ask- ing CPR and C NR railways to maintain their fences in a satis- factory condition was, passed. The bodice with empire waistline and round stand- up collar was accented by rows of delicate Swiss guipure lace appl- iques. The short, puffy sleeves were also trimmed with the ap- pliques. The A-line skirt was complimented by its cathedral - length train which draped grace- fully, from the mid -back to the floor. Swiss guipure lace appl- igues provided a delicate triol. The bride's cathedral length veil fell daintily frons a cluster of lace petals interspersed with tiny seed pearls. She carried a cluster of yellow roses, centred by an orchid corsage.
