Zurich Citizens News, 1970-07-09, Page 7THURSDAY, JULY 9, 1970 Married in Goshen United Church RYAN - McKINLEY Diane Lynn McKinley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKinley, of R.R.1, Zurich, exchanged wedding vows with Vincent Pat- rick Ryan, son of Colonel and Mrs. E.W. Ryan, of Canadian Forces Base, Clinton, in the soshen United Church, on June 27, at 5 p.m. Rev, Murdock Morrison, of Varna and Goshen United Church and Major G. Youmatoff, of Can- adian Forces Base, Clinton, of- ficiated in the double -ring cer- emony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a long gown of white organza accented by daisy chain trim, styled with an Empire waist, stand- up collar, and- long full gathered sleeves. The back extended into a short train. A flowing chapel veil also featuring daisy trim was gathered into a Juliet cap head -piece. She carried a bouquet of white shasta daisies, white rose buds, and ivy. They wore filmy yellow picture hats, and carried nosegays of white and yellow daisies, Peter Haist, of Grand Bend, was groomsman, and Richard Elliott, of Kitchener, and John McKinley, of Zurich, ushered the guests. Mrs. Bruce Keys was the org- anist, and trumpet duets were rendered by Mrs. ,Clare McBride and Mrs. Doris McKinley. For the reception heldinthe church basement , the bride's mother greeted guests wearing a mint green lace dress, with beige accessories, and a corsage of . yellow tea roses, The groom's mother chose a beige dress and cape ensemble, with lace trim, beige accessories, and a corsage of yellow tea roses. For travelling, the bride chose a two-piece coral and white tunic dress, with white accessories and a gardenia corsage. The young couple will reside in Kitchener. 0 GRAND BEND COUNCIL (Continued from page 4) A taxi licence was granted to Harry Webber to operate a taxi in Grand Bend for at least the summer months. Mr. Webber, who is a chef at one of the hotels in the village has five years of experience in taxi driving in Toronto and has a good record in that city. The village solicitor is being asked to make amendments to the village trailer bylaw. Under the present bylaw a trailer may be parked on private property up to thirty days without a licence. PARENTS and FRIENDS OF THE Zurich Summer Bible School are invited to the closing program on FRIDAY, JULY 10, at 8 p.m. There will be a display of Work Books and Materials in the Church Basement before the program. Mrs. Nancy Koehler is a pat- ient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, suffering a fractured hip which she received when struck by a car at Zurich's main inter- section. on Saturday afternoon. Visitors for the holiday week- end at the home of Mx. and Mrs. Elwood Truemner were Mr, and Mrs. Jerry Fuller, of Fairgrove, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Wes Truemner of Pigeon, Michigan, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Truemner. On Sunday the families, Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Truemner, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schade, Mr. and Mrs, Ervin Schade, along with Miss Melvina Schade, of London, met at Riverview park in Exeter for a family reunion picnic hon- ouring their guests from the Un- ited States.
