The master of ceremonies for
the occasion was Gordon Wright,
uncle of the bride.
For the wedding trip to north-
ern points, the bride chose a
purple fortrel moss crepe pant
suit, white acrylic crepe blouse
trimmed with French lace wear-
ing a corsage of white daisies.
Guests were present from New
Market, Grimsby, Grand Bend,
Varna, New Hamburg, St. Cath-
arines, Thornbury, Etobicoke,
King City, Clarkson, London
Stratford, Stoney Creek, Port
Dover, Forest, Goderich, Toron-
to, St. Thomas, Simcoe, Hen-
sall and Seaforth.
The couple will reside at Strat-
ford.

The wages of Frank Parsons
for caretaking at the dump are
to be raised to $1.65 per hour,
a 15¢ raise,
Councillor Knight raised the
subject of holidays for the vil-
lage clerk, Earl Campbell, and
was told that the clerk had not
been able to take holidays for
several years. Council was of
the opinion that it could make
some arrangements for the clerk
to take holidays, but Mr. Camp-
bell assured them that his job is
such that it would be difficult
for a stranger to take over for a
short period of time.
Council was unanimous in its
opinion that the clerk is entitled
to four percent of his wages for
the years 1968-69-70, if he does
not intend taking holidays. Mr.
Campbell told council it should
be looking for a new clerk as his
duties will teminate as of Jan-
uary 1st, 1971.
The clerk presented a mid-
term report to council and report-
ed that to date recepts have been
$6, 490. 92 but expenditures have
been $43, 297. 98, balance on
hand $19, 000.
Those who had taken in the
tour with county council agreed
it had been a most informative
and educational tour.
Building permits were issued to
the following; Lewis Clarke; to
put siding on his house; Archie
Noakes to build a chimney; E,.
'Chipchase to renovate house;
P. L, McNaughton to put railing
on verandah; J, G , Lavender to
build a work shop; Keith Buch-
anan to put siding on; Leonard
Erb to renovate verandah; Ron
Wareing to install toilets; and
Harry Klungel to renovate house,
Specifications for a new fire
hall were presented and council
was most enthused with these,
the work having been done by
the Fire Chief David Sangster.

Sealed Tenders will be received by the undersigned
until 6 p.m., on Friday, July 17, 1970, for the re-
moval of most of the present Fire Hall and Garage;
and the erection of a New Fire Hall.
Plans and specifications may be obtained at the
Clerk's Office, on the payment of a $25 deposit.
The new building must be completed by October 1,
1970.
Certified cheque for 10% of the Tender will be re-
quired. Lowest or any tender not necessarily
accepted.
