STAR OF THE MIDGETS - As a feature of the Minor Hockey
day program at Zurich last Saturday, a star was picked from each
team participating by the coach of the opposing team. Kyle
Harrison, of Grand Bend, was picked as the star of the Zurich

VISIT HURON FARMS
Top beef -producing farms
were visited Thursday by 145 men
attending the Huron County Beef
Improvement Association's an-
nual meeting.
After visiting the farms of
Jack Bell and Jim McGregor, both
of Kippen, Harry Hayter, Dash-
wood; and Bill Rowcliffe, Hen-
sall color slides of the farms'
operations were shown. Norman
Bird of Stratford, agriculture
department engineering special-
ist, commented on the value
of the farms' modernized meth-
ods of feeding cattle and of stor-
ing silage.

Obituary
ROBERT MARK VANDORSSELAER
Robbie Van Dorsselaer, the
four-year old son of Mr. and
Mrs, Ray Van Dorsselaer, Dash-
wood, passed away in Victoria
Hospital, London, on Tuesday,
January 27.
Surviving besides his parents
are two grandmothers, Mrs.
William Haugh, of Dashwood,
and Mrs, Peter Van Dorsselaer,
Stephen Township. There are
also some uncles and aunts.
Funeral service will take
place Friday afternoon at 2:30
at the Hoffman Funeral
Horne, Dashwood, with inter-
ment in Zion Lutheran cemetery,
Rev. E.E. Steinman will offic-
iate.

family journeyed to Huronview,
Clinton, Thursday, January 22
to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Present were Mr. and Mrs. Eben
Weigand, Mr. and Mrs. Homer
Russel, and Anthony Martene.
LIONS CLUB
Zurich Lions Club held their
regular dinner meeting, Janu-
ary 26, at the Dashwood Hotel,
with 24 members present. Pres-
ident Lion Valentine Becker
called the meeting to order.
Lion secretary Louis Willert
read the minutes of the last
regular meeting and director's
meeting. He also reported on
the recent New Year's Eve
dance held by the club. Inter-
national Counsellor Lion Victor
Dinnin installed the club's new-
est member, Jack McKone,
manager of the Bank of Montreal
at Zurich. Lion Louis entertain-
ed the club with slides and pict-
ures of the recent trip to Switz-
erland. The meeting adjourned
with "0 Canada."
EUCHRE PARTY
Twelve tables were in play
at the,euchre sponsored by the
Dashwood W.I. last week. Win-
ners were ladies high, Mrs. Wil-
fred Dixon; low, Mrs. Della
Tomlinson; mens high, Ray
Rader; low, Wray Sweitzer; lone
hands, Syd Baker.
