Married Recently At Wallaceburg
Tall white stands containing length, skimmer style gown over
which the bride wore a match-
ing formal length coat with an
enhancing band of Venice lace
down the centre front. An Ed-
wardian style hood of lagoda
and trimmed with a tulle ruf-
fle, over the rhinestone coronet
worn in the hair as a bridal head-
dress, lent an air of sophistic-
ated elegance to the bride.
To complete this ensemble the
bride carried a hand muff of
la oda, trimmed with tulle
ruffle at each hand and a bouq-
uet of orchids and stephonitis
worn on her muff,
Maid of Honour was Mrs.
Bette Bedard and the bride's
sister, Miss Kathy McGuire was
.bridesmaid. The attendants
baskets of pale pink poinsettas
decorated the altar of Our Lady
of Help Church, Wallaceburg
on Saturday, December 20, 1969
for the marriage of Margaret
Mary McGuire and George Sup-
lat,
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George McGuire,
Wallaceburg, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Suplat, Zurich.
Father Fitzgerald officiated,
and Miss Kit Paterson provided
traditional wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride was lovely in
an elegant ensemble of frosted
silk lagoda and Venice lace,
featuring a sleeveless, formal

chose identical two piece floor
length ensembles of cerise otto-
man, Their dresses were sleeve-
less with high empire waistline
and cowl neck trimmed with
Venice lace. The matching coat
had long sleeves and an empire
waist and the skirt cascaded
into three panels. They wore a
single pink poinsetta and green
velvet ribbon in their hair and
carried white fur muffs with a
single pink poinsetta and green
velvet streamers.
Richard Bedard was best man
and Pat McGuire was grooms-
man. Gerald McGuire and Rob-
ert Merrier ushered the guests.
A weddingreception was held
at The Fidder's Green.
For receiving guests, the
bride's mother chose aale greet;
tricosa French imported suit,
green hat, grey accessories and
a corsage of pink roses.
For a weddingltrip to Detroit
the bride changed to a suit of
aqua tricosa, navy leather coat,
grey accessories and carried
orchids on a small black purse.
The couple will reside in
Zurich,

Barry Steele of Clinton, New
York, was the weekend guest
of Kelvin Merner.
Mr. and Mrs, Joe Beechie
and family returned to London
on Sunday, after spending the
weekend in the village.
Mrs. Fred Arkell returned
home last week from Clinton
Hospital where she had been a
patient.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mc-
Combe, Birmingham, Mich.,
called on friends in the village
on Sunday.
