On August 31, Provincial
Constable F, L, Giffin invest-
igated a hit and run collision
that occurred at 12:40 p.m. on
Highway No 21, 1. 5 miles north
of junction 21 and 83 highways,
involving a vehicle owned and
driven by Michael Mack, of
131 Kraft Ave., Kitchener, and
an unknown vehicle. Damage
estimated at $100. No injuries.
On Sunday, August 31, Prov-
incial Constable E, C, Wilcox
investigated a two car collision
that occured at 7:50 p.m. on
No. 21 Highway, 0.7 miles
south of junction highway No. 83
involving a vehicle driven by
Ian Martin Boundy, 875 Telly
Drive, London, and a vehicle
driven by William Blake Schade,
of R.R.3 Dashwood. Damage
estimated at $400. No injuries.

Resume Meetings
Mrs. George Walz, vice pres-
ident, presided for the September
meeting of the Womens Miss-
ionary Society held in the Sun-
day School room of the Carmel
Presbyterian Church, Hensall,
Monday evening, with thirteen
present.
Mrs. Gordon Troyer and Mrs.
Clarence Volland presented the
devotion and study. The topic
read by Mrs. Esthere Wright,
"Missions of preparing of` the
Round Table." a thought for
us to think and do for the
betterment of our future Christ-
ian generation.
Thirty-three visits were made
by members in the two months
of summer to sick and shut-ins.
Mrs. Walz reminded everyone
to attend the W.M.S. workshop
September 25 from 9:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian
Church, Paisley.
Next meeting will be held on
Ivionday October 6, at 8:15 p.m.,
with Mrs. R.A. Orr and Mrs. J.E.
McEwen in charge of the devotior
The Ladies Aid meeting follow-
ed with president Mrs. Harvey
Hyde presiding, and Mrs. Esther
Wright acting as secretary for
the evening. Several business
discussions took place. It was
decided to hold a turkey supper
on Thursday, October 9.

Highway, 4 miles south of
Exeter south limits, between a
vehicle driven by John Mcallister
R. R.1 Centralia and a dog owned
by George Ross, 1570 Nairn Ave.,
London. The clog was killed.
Damage estimated at $05. No
injuries.
On Tuesday, September
Provincial Constable D.A. Mason
investigated a collision that
occured at 7:15 p.m. on Con-
cession 6-7 Usborne Township,
at the Junction of Huron Street,
involving a truck driven by Ray
James Stacey, of R.R.1 St.
Marys. The truck driven by
Stacey welt off the road and
struck a fence owned by Howard
Johns, R, R.1 Woodham . Dam agc
estimated at $1, 025. No injuries.
On Saturday, September u,
Provincial Constable 1).A, Mas-
on investigated a two car coll-
ision that occured at 2:40 p.m.
on County Road 4, 2.9 miles
west of Highway No. 4, involv-
ing a vehicle driven by Robert
Leo Naves, of 224 Algonquin Dr.
Huron Park, and a ye -Ade driven
by James John McVeeney, of
126 Wellington Cres., Huron
Park. Damage estimated at $25-
00. Robert Naves, and James
McVeeney both suffered injuries
in the collision.

Facilities At
Clinton Air Base
Arrangements have been made
with the Hon. C.S. MacNaugh-
ton, Treasurer, Province of Ont-
ario and Minister of Economies,
and the Hon. W . G. Davis,
Minister of Education, together
with the Director of the Ontario
Development Corporation, Mr.
A. Etchen, to visit the Canad-
ian Forces Base, Clinton, on
Friday September 12.
Meeting with the Provincial
officials will be R.E. McKinley,
M.P. , the mayor of Clinton,
Donald Symons, the reeve of
Tuckersmith Township, Elgin
Thompson, Warden James Hayter.
and County Council members of
the County Development Comm-
ittee. Also present will be Bert
Such and Frank Sills, represerltin€
Conestoga College.
The Provincial officials will
arrive at Sky Harbour Airport
at approximately 12:30 noon
and will proceed to the Canad-
ian Forces Base, Clinton, for
luncheon and tour of the premises
The purpose of the tour is to
acquaint the Provincial rep-
resentatives with the facilities
that are available in connection
with the Clinton Base.

morning altar flowers were
placed by the family in loving
memory of Duncan Stewart.

Currie in his message spoke on
"The secret of life in less than
forty words". Wayne Payne was
guest soloist, visiting organist
was Mrs. Beatrice Hess.
Miss Moni McCance of St.
Thomas, and Ron Shaver of
Galt, visited last week with
Miss Troyann Bell. Moni is a
three tithes Gold Medalist of
St. Thomas Figure Skating Club,
while Ron is Western Ontario
Champion and Canadian corn-
petitor.
