R. 5, Clinton, is a patient in Clinton Public Hospital with severe burns on her body, as a result of an accident when she accidentall' upset a pot of scalding tea over her. Fred Peters is a patient in Clinton Public Hospital. Ray McKenzie, Vancouver, flew here for a vacation with relatives and friends. Earl McEwen visited with relatives in the district recently, Flowers -in the sanctuary of the United Church Sunday morning were in loving memory of Mrs. Stewart McQueen, and Harold Bell, placed by their families. Jerry McClinchey of Hensall, and Ray Stewart, Gorrie, left Friday by jet to spend a three week vacation in Europe. Teresa and Tammy North of Fingal, spent a few days last week with Stewart McQueen, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snell. Mrs. Edgar Munn has returned Hensall Area Farmer Killed When Tractor and Wagon Hit by Automobile Harold Bell, 59, was killed on Monday afternoon, August 4, when his tractor drawing a grain wagon was struck from the rear by a car driven by George Wayne McLachlan, of London. Mr. Bell, of R. R. 2, Hensall, was travelling west on Highway 84 and was only a short distance away from his farm when the accident occurred, about a quarter of a mile west of Hensall, shortly after 4 p.m. • Upon impact, the two vehicles jackknifed, The tractor and driver were tossed into the south ditch and the wagon into the north ditch. 0. P.P. Constable Don Mason of Exeter detachment investi- gated. Surviving Mr. Bell are his wife, the former Edith McBride, four daughters, Shirley, Mrs. Ron Passmore, London; Patricia Mrs. Ken Pollock, R. R, 1, Hensall; Betty, Mrs. Bob Beaver, Paris; Sylvia, at home; one son Donald, Grand Bend; one sister, Marie, Mrs. Jack Carter, Water- loo; and nine grandchildren. Public funeral service, conduct- ed by Rev. W. D. Jarvis, was held from Bonthron funeral home, Thursday, August 7, with burial in Exeter cemetery. The sympa- thy of the community is extended to Mrs. Bell and family in their bereavement.
