White and pink tinted mums
decorated St. James Roman
Catholic Church when Ann
Emma Stephenson, London and
Daniel Miles McMillan, London
were united in marriage in a
double -ring ceremony and
Father Laragh being the celebrant
of the Nuptial Mass.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Clarence Stephen-
son, Clinton and groom is the.
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
McMillan, Seaforth.
The bride given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor -
length Lilly white sheath style
gown of Lagoda crepe with
wrist -length Lily point sleeves,
and caged by a chantilly lace
coat effect. The coat had
scalloping edging in front from
neck to hem and fell into soft
gathers at the back forming a
Chapel train, The neckline had
a standup ruffled collar and her
shoulder -length veil was of
nylon illusion. She carried a
crescent shaped bouquet of
sweetheart roses and green ivy.
The maid of honour, Miss
Marjorie Turner, London and
bridesmaids Miss Noreen
McMillan, sister of the groom,
Vancouver, B. C., and Mrs, Ron
Kovacs, Brantford were dressed
alike in floor -length pale
pink Swiss tucked cotton empire
style gowns marked by a white
satin ribbon forming bow at
back. ,The bodice was accented
with a Victorian bib trimmed
cbbtn of 3Intcret
with white organza frills and
stand-up collar edged with white
organze frills and short puffed
sleeves and sheath style skirt.
They carried white baskets of
pale pink carnations and white
shasta mums with pink ribbon
and green ivy.
Music was provided by Mrs.
Alice Stiles, organist and the
St. James choir,
Mr. Ray McLean, London was
groomsman and the ushers were
Jack McMillan of Flint, Mich..
and Keith Stephenson, R. R. 1,
Varna, brother of the bride.
The reception was held at the
Seaforth Legion Hall were the
bride's mother received the
guests wearing a sea aqua dress
with batteau neckline and
natural fitted waist enhanced
by an accordian pleated skirt
in cocktail length, and matching
accessories and corsage of pink
roses, She was assisted by the
groom's ntohter in a chartreuse
silk shantung A-line dress with
beaded bodice and matching
accessories. She wore a corsage
of red roses,
They will reside in London.
Guests were present from
Indiannapolis, Flint, Detroit,
Toronto, Waterloo, Brantford,
Niagara Falls, London and
surrounding districts.
Prior to their marriage showers
were given for the bride by
Linda Dales, Clinton; cousin
and aunts of the bride in Bruce -
field; surprise shower by Marj-
orie Turner in London and a
shower by the ladies of Varna
and Goshen United Churches and
neighbours on the Parr Line,

White gladiola, shasta daisies
and candelabra decorated the
Granton United Church for the
marriage of Ann Marie llarlton,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
llarlton. Granton to Gary Max-
well, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
Maxwell, llensall.
The bride given in marriage by
her father, wore a floor -length
town of white peau de charm wit:
a lace bodice, scalloped neck-
line and bell sleeves. Her train
was edge with lace and tiny
bows and her veil was nylon
sheer with a tiny rosette. She
carried a bouquet of orange
delight roses, pearlized steph-
anotis and ivy.
Miss Helen I1arlton, London,
was maid of honor, and Miss
Marion Bendall, London, and
Miss Sandra Maxwell, llensall,
were bridesmaids. They were
gowned alike in yellow peau de
soic designed similar to the
bride's gown. They wore short
veils and rosette and carried
baskets of shasta daisies and
yellow mums.
Robert Thiel, Zurich, acted as
the groom's best man and Robert
Carlile, llensall and Murray
Harlton, brother of the bride,
were ushers.
The wedding reception was
held at the Lucan Legion with

Area Teacher
Results of the recent music
exams have been released by
the bride's mother receiving
guests in a blue lace dress with
pink and white accessories and
a pink rose corsage. The
groom's mother assisted wearing
a double knit dress with white
accessores and a yellow rose
corsage.
For travelling the bride donned
a pink two-piece double knit
suit with black accessories and
green orchid corsage.
Guests were present from Toron-
to, Cargill, Clinton, Seaforth,
Walkerton, Zurich, Hensall,
Exeter, Huron Park, London,
St. Marys, Granton, and surround
ing district.
