Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alfred
of the Bluewater south had as
guests on Sunday last, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Fisher and Mrs,
Jennie Fisher of Spring Field,
Massachuettes, and Mrs. Helen
Katunie and Miss Mary Katunie
of Honalulu, Hawaii.
Mr. Roy Forbes of Sarnia is
busy building his cottage at
Ducharmes beach. He hopes
to have it completed for use
during the hot summer days.
Mr. and Mrs. Avilia Ducharme
of the Bluewater south in com-
pany with Mrs. Theresa Hartman
motored to Windsor on Saturday
last to attend the 25th wedding
anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
Cyril Ducharme were almost
one hundred guests were present
to'offer their good wishes to the
celebrants.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hemiet of
Detroit were Sunday visitors at
the home of Mrs. Sarah Jeffery,
also Mrs. Louise Cantin of Wind-
sor and while here they called
on relatives in the neighbourhood

and Mrs. Fred Ducharme on
Sunday last were from Court -
right, Mr. Charles Bedard and
neighbour friend and from
Detroit Mrs. Pat Wagner also a
neighbour friend in her company.

spent a few weeks in Windsor
and other points visiting with
her children returned to her home
the past weekend.
Mrs, 'Adeline Denomma spent
a few days the past_ week in
Goderich also going to Kitchen-
er with friends and returning
to her home on Sunday.

and Mrs, Joseph Corriveau from

dore Corriveau and brother
Jean Louis and Mrs. Madeline
Kivinski.
Some of our sick people are
still hospitalized but we believe
are on the mend, while others
are not well at time of writing.
Let us hope when warm weather
set in all will fully recover and
again return to their homes to
enjoy their natural good health.
Late spring, yes, some fanners
are still in their grain seeding
even though it is late. Well,
the best of luck to them with
favourable weather to give the
seed a start it may prove re-
warding to them.

JAMES S. PETTY
James S. Petty, of Hensall,
passed away in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, Thursday,
May 22, where he had been a
patient for five weeks. He
was in his 82nd year.
The late Mr. Petty took up
residence from his farm in
Hay Township in 196.7, to live
in the new hone he built on
Queen Street.
One sister, Miss Florence
Petty of Hensall, survives.
Public funeral service was
held from Bonthron funeral
home, Saturday at 2 p.nt.,
conducted by Rev. Harold F.
Currie. Burial was in Exeter
Cemetery.
