RECREATIONAL PROGRAM
During the first two weeks

CENTENNIAL PROJECT—John and Donald
Noakes, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes,
Hensall, have come up with their own centennial
project in the form of a large map of Canada. The
map, which is located on the front lawn of their
home, is completely illuminated in the evening and
draws the attention of all who pass by. The boys
are only 12 years old, and completed the entire
project by themselves.

South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
for treatment for a leg infec-
tion.
Sgt. and Mrs. Gary I. Merritt,
of Tustin, California, is spend-
ing a few days with the latter's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Payne, and Wayne.
Mrs T. Erintnell has return-
ed home from Expo where she
spent a few days.

Harry Hoy, who injured his
thumb in a power saw accident
at Point Clark and received
treatment at Kincardine Hos-
pital, is doing nicely. It is ex-
pectecl his thumb will be saved.

Cochrane Reunion
Held at Seaforth
The -annual Cochrane reunion
was held at Clangregor Square,
Bayfield, July 9. Fifty-five sat
down to supper.
It was decided to hold the
picnic the same date next year
with the location to be decided
at a later date.

The Stephenson reunion was
held in Seaforth Lions Park,
with 88 in attendance.

Meet at Lake
Kippen East WI held its July
meeting at Homestead Heights
on Lake Huron, with Mrs. Harry
Caldwell and Mrs, W. J. F. Bell
as hostesses.
The meeting began with the
Institute grace, followed by a
pot -luck supper for the mem-
bers and their guests.
Mrs. Robert Kinsman and
Mrs. Ross Sararas conducted
games and contests. The meet-
ing proper began with the In-
stitute Ode and the Mary Stew-
art Collect. The roll call. -name
some of the things money can-
not buy", was well answered.
Mrs. Dave Triebner comment-
ed on the motto, "Happiness is
like potato salad, share it and
you have a picnic". Mrs. Mike
Connelly gave the history of
New Brunswick.
Mrs. Grant McLean conduct-
ed euchre and bingo. The met-
ing closed with the singing of
God Save -the Queen.
ATTRACTIVE ENTRY in the Hen-
sall centennial parade on July 15 was
this float entered by the Hensall Kins-
men and Hensall Kinettes. The folks
on the float represented various activ-
ities of the two service clubs.
