Everyone must be con- gratulated on their promptness for the games were only about 10 minutes behind schedule at the end of the day. In the boys' league the .first game produced the highest com- bined score of the season, as the Dominions won a hard- fought 62-52 victory over the Acadians. In this game the winners were paced by Gord Beierling's 28 points, which was also the highest output of the day. The game was exciting all the way with the score being 22 -all at half time and 40-32 in favor of the Acadians at three- quarter time, but in the last quarter the Dominions came alive and started •to score at random. In the next boys' game the Beavers finally won their first game of the season with a con- vincing 44-13 victory over the league-Ieading Confederations. Although the losers were with- out one of their top players, Aubrey Bedard, they just could not do anything wrong. Had it not been for Clare Lawrence's rustabout play, the score might have been higher than it was in favor of the Beavers. Clare was all over the court fighting for the hall every time the opposition had it and he was just superb on rebounding at both ends. Jerry Rader was top man for the Beavers as he hooped 25 big points, followed by Richard Turkheim and Richard Fischer with six apiece, Mike Bedard with five and Shane McKinnon with two. Ken Clarke led the losers with eight points, with Clare Lawrence getting three and Dave Stark two.
